Q: Optical cable included?

A: Optical cable needs to be purchased separately. Be sure to avoid optical cables that are packaged in such a way as to include bends of 90 degrees instead of the cable being coiled into a circle. Fiber optic cables that get "bent" can break on the inside and then not pass light very well.

Q: can this be used as a home theatre connected to your tv or just for bluetooth products

A: You are able to connect your TV and other devices to the soundbar. With this soundbar you can connect devices with a digital optical cable, red/white RCA connections or Bluetooth.

Q: Subwoofer cuts out randomly during music

A: Seems to be a problem with this product. It cannot handle any volume level other than Grandma low. Turn it up & the Sub cuts off & on over & over. This is why I returned mine!

Q: How good is the sound. If turned up is it tinny or is the sound superior.

A: I cranked it listening to Pandora and i was quite surprised for a soundbar how loud it could get without distortion. I wouldn't say theatre quality but definitely louder than your stock TV

A: Absolutely. I bought a 55" Insignia tv the same day- they work great together.

Q: With the sound bar connected to the digital optical output will the sound come from the tv and sound bar or just the sound bar?

A: It depends on your TV. I have an option in my TV settings to disable the internal speakers.

Q: Can the bar be placed by the TV and the subwoofer be wired outside as an outdoor speaker?

A: Umm.... no. The purpose of a subwoofer is for bass, not general audio.

A: The volume setting does not show on the tv. I wish it did.

GREAT!
I bought this item for my dad for fathers day. I purchased an open box one in excellent condition. It shipped in just the product box, and the box was beaten up and half opened when it arrived. I was nervous so I opened it to inspect it. Despite the rough shape of the box, the soundbar was practically brand new. Everything was still in the original plastic and unopened. I decided to plug it in at my place to make sure it worked and would be of good quality for my dad. Long story short...I ended up keeping it and buying another one to give to my dad. This thing is really great. It looks very nice and having the separate sub is very cool. I live in an apartment and the bass of the TV usually gets my older neighbor knocking on the wall even with the TV at low volumes. The sound bar throws the sound out into the room and away from the wall, which means we can listen to the TV at higher volumes without disturbing him (which keeps us from being disturbed while watching TV at 7pm). Having the wireless sub is awesome because I was able to place it away from the shared wall so we can watch movies without the explosions/music resulting in a pounding sound from the other side of the wall. The sub also has a separate volume control, which allows us to dial in the best sound and volume for any situation. Bluetooth connectivity works great too, no issues so far. I'm extremely happy, and I know my dad will love his when the second one I ordered arrives in time for Father's day.

Solid sound bar
Excellent sound and features. Does everything I want. Only gripe is sub clicks on and off at low volumes. Kind of annoying. But the bluetooth, rca, and optical in is awesome. Remote gives to options to change audio source. Grabbed on sale.

Excellent bang for your buck
Bought this surround sound for my new house to boost my entertainment experience in the livingroom and was blown away. I have owned Samsung and LG sound bars and woofers before but this little system gave them a run for their money. It was only $120 but goes toe to toe with the $300 systems. Definitely recommended this to anyone looking to make their normal sounding movie watching experience into an awesome night of movies at home.
