Q: Do you need a subscription to Roku to watch basic cable on this tv?
A: No, your cable comes in through the cable input on the TV and that particular input becomes one of the "channels" or apps on the Roku menu. Roku itself doesn't require a subscription of any kind, it's a device as opposed to a service.

A: No and you can log into your roku acct and easily add the tv to your acct. all channels will come over. But you’ll have to activate them on the tv before viewing
