I am using it on my bedroom as I have a newborn and easier to keep milk for convenience. It is big enough to store few other drinks and snacks and also has good size freezer

The build quality on this fridge is genuinely impressive. A lot of small refrigerators feel flimsy and disposable, but this one has a solid, premium feel that inspires confidence. The interior space is well‑designed, giving me plenty of room for drinks and snacks in my home office. The refrigerator section keeps everything consistently cold, and the freezer does an exceptional job with my freezer‑to‑microwave snacks. Overall, I’m very happy with it and would confidently recommend this fridge to anyone looking for a reliable compact option.

It was exactly what I needed and what I was expecting, love it

I gifted this mini fridge to a friend, and they absolutely loved it! It’s the perfect size and works great. The temperature control was spot on, and it had just the right amount of space for what they needed. There was a small scratch on the top, likely from packaging, but it wasn't a big deal. Overall, I’m very pleased and would definitely recommend this item!

It works really well—just like a full-sized refrigerator. I store ice cream in it, and it keeps it perfectly frozen.

This Insignia 3.1 cubic foot mini-refrigerator with a top freezer is a welcome addition to my home. It is small enough to place in just about any room and light enough to move easily. I ended up putting it in the garage next to my larger freezer. I like having the extra space to keep foods. It came in very handy during this past Thanksgiving when I ran out of space in my kitchen refrigerator and my garage freezer due to having to cook for thirteen people. The cooling is very good. It reached an adequate temperature of about 35 degrees Fahrenheit about two hours after plugging it in. The freezer section is a true freezer, not just a little freezer shelf inside the main unit like on so many compact refrigerators. The stainless steel finish is a nice look and should fit into just about any decor. It does not have a “cheap” look like other compact refrigerators I have used in the past. The true test is time and I will have to see if this compressor will go at least five years, but so far I am very pleased with this compact refrigerator.

TLDR: Quiet. Perfect size for dorm room or man cave. PROS Small & Energy Efficient Real Freezer Section Reversible Door CONS Requires Max Setting or close to it for best results THOUGHTS / USE It's hard not to like the Insignia mini fridge. Coming in at just under 3ft tall, it is easy to find a space to fit the refrigerator in. This one has found a permanent home under my workbench in my finished, climate-controlled garage. It's primary duties so far has been to keep some sodas, waters, and "adult beverages" cool while working around the house. I'm happy to report that it has been extremely successful. As we prepare for the upcoming holiday, the refrigerator is slowly being taken over by Christmas goods waiting for the 25th. The Insignia is quite spacious for its size, holding quite a bit of goods and beverages. I like that there is a separate freezer section but will say that you have to keep the refrigerator on Max, or close to it, for the freezer to get cold enough. Even then, it is a bit warmer than I would like to see on a daily basis. The Energy Star report rates this appliance at $38/annually for use. At roughly 75 cents a week to operate, it considerably cheaper to use than a full-sized refrigerator. Even with the mild quibble, for what I and my family use it for, it is has been a great addition. Used primarily has a beverage cooler and a space to hold leftovers, the Insignia fills the bill perfectly. In this capacity the refrigerator works great, keeping food and beverages icy cold. This is a great addition for anyone that needs a small, light-weight refrigerator. Perfect for under a garage workbench, a dorm room, or wet bar. Its stainless steel looks good and is easy to clean. RECOMMENDED

I had been in the market for a small mini fridge just to stash drinks and things in my "She-Cave" room for game days so I was definitely interested in giving the Insignia™ - 3.1 Cu. Ft. Mini Fridge with Top Freezer and ENERGY STAR Certification - Stainless Steel Look a chance. I admit that I didn't look too deeply before making my choice so I was a little surprised that it was a little bigger than I expected. Not huge but bigger than the basic cheap small fridge I assumed was all that I would need. Set up was pretty simple...just find your location to place it, set the temperature to your preference and give it a little time to fully get there. I was immediately impressed with the size and the stainless steel look. Definitely looks better than a simple white or black one I thought purchase. While of course it's a compact fridge it really has a lot of space to go beyond just keeping some drinks and snacks cool. The freezer actually does get cold enough to keep ice cream and ice trays (Insignia gave a free tray but I went with bigger ones that I have since I prefer bigger cubes and more) but it took a while to hit that mark. The crisper drawer is deeper than I thought it would be which is great. The storage options on the doors are truly useful instead of just being there for looks. So far I really enjoy this mini but mighty fridge

There's not a lot to say about a fridge like this, it's small, has a separate freezer (which is rare in a fridge this size, usually it's that compartment at the top of the refrigerated section) and is built well, but lets get into it. Packaging: First, packaging. It's packed well, but it's worth noting that the packaging got well and truly destroyed in shipping. There was no damage to the fridge itself, but there was packing foam falling out of the bottom when I brought it in the house, so if you buy it, I'd recommend picking it up just to prevent damage in shipping. Function: Like I mentioned, it has a separate freezer which is nice for this size fridge, I will say that ice does form in the freezer, and the very back of the fridge can get cold enough to freeze items, so be aware of this. But I've also only had a very small amount of items in it so it could be that it would be better balanced with more stuff in it, I may also have it turned too low, I haven't had it long enough to really play with the settings. Overall: It's a good small fridge, not expensive, gets cold and has a separate freezer. I do recommend it

The Insignia 3.1 Cu. Ft. Mini Fridge with Top Freezer is a solid choice for someone with limited space, a dorm room (perhaps), or who desires an extra refrigerator/freezer combo, but wants to take up a small footprint in their home/garage. However, with convenience being a decision-maker here, this mini-fridge provides adequate cooling (the fridge portion), but the freezer temperature is less than desirable. Pros: No "setup" required Quickly cools Light/portable Cons: The freezer is not cool enough Out of the box, the Insignia Mini Fridge is easy to remove (it is recommended to leave the fridge upright in the box, and carefully cut the box sides to expose the fridge for removal and setup). Important: It is recommended to read the instructions, as they indicate that once a location is chosen, before plugging in, you will need to set the temperature dial (in the fridge) to "max" cooling, then plug in (this is honestly the only "setup" required for this particular fridge/freezer combo). After waiting a couple of hours for the fridge/freezer to "cool," I carefully removed the inside packaging (tape, cardboard) from the shelves. I placed warm cans of pop inside the fridge to see how long it would take for them to become cool. After an hour, I checked the cans, and they were cold to the touch. Additionally, the fridge portion includes a convenient drawer (for possible dairy products or extra space needed for produce). Lastly, there is one shelf that separates the drawer, where you can (again) place cans (upright) in the fridge. The inside door also provides some storage for additional cans or bottles if needed. More importantly, the mini-fridge is approximately 35 pounds. Although bulky (it is a fridge after all), it was rather easy to lift on my own to move. I placed the mini-fridge inside our garage, where it takes up little space, and it provides functional extra storage for our cans, waters, etc. The freezer portion, however, did not feel "as cool" as I assumed a freezer would "freeze" or feel. To test this, I filled water inside the small ice tray (provided by Insignia) to see how long it would take for the ice to freeze. After two hours, I checked to find that the water had not frozen over yet to make ice. I waited an additional hour and checked again to see that the water was frozen this time, but once I popped out some of the ice cubes to see if they were frozen, a few fell out (one still had sitting water in it). After this test was complete, I decided to place one small (microwavable "TV Dinner") inside the freezer, right when I picked it up from the grocery store, to see if it would "stay frozen." After an hour inside the freezer, I took the TV Dinner out to find that it was cold, but it did not "appear to be frozen." When I took the meal out of the package, it was "somewhat" frozen. Again, the fridge portion was fine, and the temperature was adequately cool (cans remained cold, etc.) However, the freezer portion was rather disappointing during my testing phases. A quick note, the temperature dial inside the fridge (which controls the temperature for both the fridge and freezer) was set to "max" temperature, and there was no separate knob/dial for the freezer. A separate control option may be considered for just the freezer portion of this Insignia mini-fridge freezer combo. Maybe then, the freezer can be trusted to adequately "freeze" any foods or ice that may stay inside. Overall, the Insignia 3.1 Cu. The Ft. Mini Fridge with Top Freezer provides functionality for small spaces. The fridge may be moved easily by yourself, as it is not too heavy (just bulky). However, the top freezer failed to meet my expectations. Food was cold, sure, but I'm not sure I would trust any "keep frozen" foods inside.

If you’re on the hunt for a small, affordable mini fridge with a true top freezer, the Insignia model is a great choice for a secondary spot like an office, basement, or dorm. It’s super quiet, keeps things nice and cold, and, as long as you’re okay with occasionally clearing a bit of frost and adjusting the thermostat, it works great. However, if you’re really into super precise temperature control, minimal frost, or long-lasting performance, you might want to compare it with some higher-end compact fridges or read more about Insignia fridges to make sure it’s the right fit for you.

This fridge is the perfect size for my office and I especially like the separate freezer that actually freezes. The inside door is superbly designed to hold lots of canned beverages and otherwise surprisingly roomy. Also, the staff at best buy were very friendly and helpful when I picked up the fridge.

I bought this moni-fridge for my son's room. This was the perfect size with a freezer and at a great price. We just installed it this past weekend and it worked great. It has only been a couple of days but it is working well. The freezer is pretty good and froze the food relatively quickly. So far so good.
