I’ve only had it a year and it caught fire today and I believe it was electrical because I clean it after each use! Even prior to this happening today the handle had broken off from the tray insert and I reached out in the summer and Best Buy refused to cover it under warranty. About early September it stopped working all together. It wouldn’t start as soon as the basket was closed. I would have to mess with it constantly until it would actually power on. Now that this electrical issue happened today I think it’s a huge safety hazard and Best Buy should look into this!

Purchased Insignia 3.2 Air Fryer because it was Deal of the Day and a good price. I decided to test it with frozen fries. However, after a few minutes steam was coming from inside to the outside panel. I thought that was strange because my current air fryer does not release steam when in use. I walked away and returned to find smoke coming from the bottom. I immediately unplugged it, cleaned it up and returned to Best Buy the next day. I was very disappointed because I love air fryer cooking. May be I received a bad one. However, based on my experience with the steam and smoke I would not recommend.

Product caught on fire two months after warranty expired. When plugged in, it turns on at maximum power immediately without the basket inserted and with the digital control still being off.

The screws fell in my food. The handle broke of because of this.
