  • Key Specs
    • Recommended Room Size: 550 square feet (The recommended area size in which the product is designed to operate and produce optimal results, such as the desired heating or cooling. Generally, running a unit too big or too small for the space will result in ineffective operation and wasted energy.)
    • DOE SACC Cooling Power: 7500 british thermal units (The Seasonally Adjusted Cooling Capacity (SACC), implemented by the Department of Energy (DOE) after 2017, is a rating of a portable AC unit's cooling power. This rating is based on revised testing that more accurately measures a portable unit's performance, taking into account that these units do not vent heat in the same way as wall or window units and therefore were not cooling as effectively as the previous BTU ratings indicated (based on the ASHRAE-128 standard prior to 2017). Generally, the new cooling power ratings are lower than previous BTU ratings and can more reasonably be compared to the cooling capacities of other types of AC units.)
    • ASHRAE Cooling Power: 12000 british thermal units (The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) rates the cooling power, or capacity, of portable AC units based on their effectiveness in cooling a single room as intended. Prior to 2017, this was the accepted standard used for comparison with other types of AC units. However, it did not accurately reflect the cooling power as it did not account for the heat emitted from the unit that would circulate back into the space. The Department of Energy (DOE) Seasonally Adjusted Cooling Capacity (SACC) standard is now used to determine appropriate BTU ratings of portable AC units.)
    • Number of Cool Settings: 3
    • Number of Fan Speeds: 3
    • Airflow Rate: 194.1 cubic feet per minute
    • Remote Control: true
    • Integrated Heater: false
    • Sleep Mode: false (Enabling this mode sets the unit to first reach the desired temperature, then gradually increase the temperature over a period of time until it reaches a new set temperature, typically several degrees higher than the initial cool setting. This mode helps save energy while keeping the room comfortable.)
    • Timer: true
    • Auto Shut-Off: true (Feature automatically turns off the product.)
    • Window Venting Kit: true (Indicates whether supplies for venting the unit through a window are included.)
    • Energy Efficiency Ratio: 8.5 (The ratio of output BTUs (British Thermal Units) to input electrical energy (watts) at a given operating point. Generally, the higher the number, the more efficient the unit. Though higher efficiency units are typically more expensive upfront, they may offset the price in energy costs over time.)
    • Combined Energy Efficiency Ratio (CEER): 6.3 (The standard used to measure energy efficiency in window and room air conditioners by the Department of Energy (DOE) as of June of 2014. CEER measures the ratio of output BTUs (British Thermal Units) to input electrical energy (watts) in standby mode and while the unit is operating. Generally, the higher the number, the more efficient the unit. Though higher efficiency units are typically more expensive upfront, they may offset the price in energy costs over time.)
    • App Compatible: false (The product can be connected to a program or software application on a mobile device, which then receives collected data from the product.)
    • Air Conditioner Type: Portable
    • Hose Configuration: Single (Generally, dual hose configurations are more efficient and better suited for cooling larger areas. Single hose configurations typically consume less energy and are best for cooling smaller spaces.)

Q: had my unit for a couple months and just recently it stopped blowing cold air. even on the coldest setting it seems like its just the fan that is on, any tips on how to fix?

A: 1. Try to reset the unit. (Unplug for 1 minute and press and hold power button while it's off) that plug it back in and see if works. 2. If you are a bit handy and can get to compressor to tao it, it may work. 3. If none of the above works, I say don't waste your time and money and just get a new one. By the time you bring it to repair shop and pay for diagnostic just to find out it will cost 2/3 of a new unit to repair.

Q: Can you set this unit up near an open window, or does it need a sealed suction from a window?

A: Definitely needs to vent to outside, otherwise you're just blowing hot air back into room. Comes with vent and panel for window. Also need to provide drainage for water removed from air. I use bucket and a plastic tube. Water drainage tube is NOT provided but essential. I pour out about gallon water per week

Q: Does the Unit completely shut off (Fan) when the desired A/C temperature is reached?

A: The AC cuts off when it reaches the desired temperature. However, the fan kicks in and stays on just to circulate the air.

Q: I see it didn't come with a water drainage tube. Was an add on one easy to purchase and install?

A: I haven’t needed one, unless it’s extremely humid where you live, you are fine.

Q: Can you adjust the front vent to blow "up" or are the horizontal vents stationary?

A: There is a swing mode on these units so when in use the vent swings up and down to move the cold air better

Q: Is there a container inside that you have to empty?

A: There is a water container in the unit that is easily emptied with the drain spout on the back of the unit. I only have to empty about a cup of water every couple of days.

Q: What is the exact exhaust hose diameter of this AC?

A: Diameter 5 and one half inches
