I picked this up as a replacement for my Canon lens cap because a Canon brand cap was not available in store. Not only was this cap less expensive but I find that it "holds on" better than my Canon. I think it's probably due to the Insignia cap having a stronger spring and deeper, more pronounced ridges.

Provides good protection for my camera. Would have been nice though if it had provided a means of attaching it to the camera or lens so that you didn't need to worry about misplacing when removing to to use the camera.

My oldest child decided to take my BRAND NEW camera, without asking, and held it hostage for weeks. I'd never even had a chance to turn it on. He said because I hadn't used it, he was allowed to take it. I totally disagreed! Anyways, my entitled, inconsiderate child finally brought my USED camera back, but somehow lost the charging cord and lens cap. This is the cap I reluctantly bought. It's great. My son...not so much!

This is easily the best lens cap I have ever owned. It fits my canon rebel T3 lens perfectly! If I ever need another lens cap, I will make sure to get another one of these. I don’t know How I’ve lived this long without a lens cap like this, but I sure am glad I don’t ever have to live without one again. By the way, there is no photo for this review because the lens cap was on.
