This is what in historic times was called a "patch cord". If you prefer, a data extension cord. It's as close as anything can be to being totally foolproof. In my case it extends my printer data cable an extra six feet so that the printer can be placed where designed on my desk's hutch, and still reach the desk pedestal wherein sits the CPU. It simply works!

Good quality USB 3.0 extension cable. I needed to access a port on my computer but without the inconvenience of having to reach around to the back every time I wanted to use it. This cable easily solves this problem. :-)

Cables worked great in providing power to my Sony HDR-CX240 camcorder. I needed a longer cable so I could keep my power charged until I need to use my device as an overhead camera for my stream.

Extension cables are awesome. I used this to mount a usb hub under the corner of my desk. It allows quick access for game controllers and my massage chair.

I recommend it makes a difference for aftermarket car radios equipped with CarPlay. The 3.0 is an upgrade from my previous model.

12' USB extension cable male to female, very durable to withstand constant connecting and reconnecting.

I highly recommend as it a great cable at a nice price. I ran a speed test using a SSD pci-e external drive directly connected to USB 3.0 and then using this extension cable. The speeds were nearly identical (see attached pics). Just plug it in and go.... The cable is very thick and the connectors are very thick/beefy as well. The thickness of the cable does make it a tad difficult to manipulate but thats really nick picking.

I like to play DCS World & other SteamVR games, and it works a treat!

Works well extending the usb cord to a keyboard. No latency issues. Pretty sure it will be great for actual 3.0 devices like hard drives, usb drives, or maybe even recording interfaces. A+++

Best Buy employee kindly helped me find this USB extension cord that I needed in order to more effectively place the camera that I use for Skyping atop my computer monitor. Works great.

I have a USB 3 port that camps to the side of a desk or whatever that I haven't been able to use because the cable that came with it is only one foot long and it wasn't very useful. With the extension cable, I can now use it where I want! I was a little worried that my external Blu-ray player wouldn't work but it does! (yay). I can also us it to connect to my tablet and change music files. (I'm doing that right now!)

I bought this cable to rearrange my office. My printer had a 6' cable so it had to stay fairly close to my computer but with this extension cable I was able to move it to the next wall over so I could move file cabinets around. Works like a champ!

On one hand it's easy to dismiss a simple USB extension cable because the reality is, it's not difficult to find these, even on competitor websites. In my case I needed it right away, and while this did cost a little more than generic ones off Amazon, I think the quality is there to make up for it. The cable is a bit thicker, which is nice because I think it gives it stronger durability, in case it snags on something.

Purchase this last minute for a gender review part. We need to connect a Canon 70D to a laptop and have an extension cord to move freely. We wanted to make sure the quality wasn't lost, and this did the job. It did the job so well that I bought two.

So far so good! Cable is long and sturdy and is easy to use!

The cord on my new webcam did not quite reach from the top of my monitor to the tower computer on the floor, and this is just what I needed to have the camera where I wanted it to be (more than enough actually, but the extra length won't hurt and might be useful someday). It works exactly like you would expect an extension cable to work.

Need a USB 3.0 extension so I could extend my Linksys 3.0 WiFi adapter up and away from the floor where my computer is located. Connected it to the 3.0 USB port on the computer and connected the adapter to the other end and ran it up behind the desk and up the corner of the wall. Works great and I can see the blue activity light blinking away.
