A: Yes but it should be fully charged before the first use.

A: Yep, works for us! Connected it to an old small flat screen and both sound and picture works on each unit. Super easy!

Q: Car Use
A: There was (somewhat surprisingly) nothing in the box to do this with. I found a very inexpensive headrest mounting sleeve (it was less than $10) online that the dvd player fit perfectly in. This sleeve is super simple to attach to the headrest and is really the kind of thing that should have been included with the dvd player in the first place.
