The cable seems to be well made and top quality, so I'm giving it three stars anyway. It doesn't work for my Rift setup. Not sure if it is a USB or HDMI issue. I'm getting a power indicator light in the HMD and the software says it is connected, but I get no video at all. Really disappointed as I wanted to extend my cables for a roomscale set up. My experience has been that Oculus compatibility can be hit-and-miss depending on the computer hardware, so it admittedly may not be the fault of the cable. This is on a ROG STRIX "VR-Ready" laptop. I'd say it is worth trying, and therefore am still recommending it, as others have reported that it works great. It just may not work, so keep the packaging and receipt to return it if need-be. I'm going to hold onto it and tinker around with my setup some more- and will update if something changes.

My cord broke after a while, it seems to be ok for when I originally had it. And it is pretty cheap as well to buy, so it does have that going for it.

I guess some folks with problematic graphics cards or USB controllers might report issues with this extension cord, but I wanted to report that it worked perfectly in my case. I'm using the Oculus recommended USB controller and a compatible GPU. The rift really needs this extra cord length to make full use of its tracking, and this package has both cables fused together at the rubber shielding as well as a rubber end on each side to tie it together.

This is something that should automatically be included with all VR headsets. Since they don't include it this is the best extension cable I have used for my headset and is worth the price.

Sure is nice the extra length. Oculus went off ok, Steam did not like the cord. I have a 970,The more I read up you need a faster card to use it to full capabilities.

If you don't require both HDMI and USB extension then you can get away with just the USB extension alone, however if you do this is perfect although longer length would be better.

I'm not 100% sure if it's the cables fault, but I get video drop outs during game play at times. Does give me a lot more room to move in.

Good product. Works with my oculus rift and GTX 1080. 4 stars because it seems a little on the expensive side. Though the cables do feel like good quality.

I was trying to extend my Oculus Rift cord and most of what I tried failed to work. I was pretty skeptical this would work but it does! Couldn't be happier. I can finally stop stepping on that annoying cord. I even have it suspended to the ceiling with those hinged adhesive wall hooks. I have an older but decent pc (ddr3) with a EVGA GTX 1060.

I was hopeful that I wouldn't be one of the roughly 10% this didn't work for but unfortunately I was. I have the recommended USB 3 add in card (Inateck). My video card is a GTX1070 Founders Addition and I turned off the USB power saving option. It's a well built cable but it just didn't work for me.

I needed an extension cable for my Rift headset, This one is the only one I could find. I read the reviews, some said it works some said it did not work. I purchased it and the day I got it plugged it in and It worked like a charm. Heavy duty cable. I would definitely recommend this extension.

The Oculus Rift's base cable, on it's own, is too short to have any semblance of room scale, let alone have the wires routed in an orderly fashion behind my desk to the tower. This looked to be a decent solution, and a handful of people seem to have success. Running an i5-6600k and GTX 1070. Connected the Oculus to the extension cable, and it seemed to work fine initially. Then, after about a minute or so, the picture starts cutting in and out randomly, until it's more out than in. Audio and tracking still seem to work, so it's the HDMI signal that's not strong enough. Guess I will look for another alternative solution, and in the mean time, I'll just resign to not being able to move far from my desk.

This gave me more room to put say my oh oculus rift. I love it.

Intended to use as extensions for VR headset but, apparently not compatible with HDML 1.3 or USB 3.0 somehow. Best Buy returned for credit without hesitation.

If you have an oculus rift you have to get this period. I'm super happy, it actually works, no more limited amount of being tearhered to a small area and thinking oh man I wish this cable was longer. I love this and I absolutely recommend.

Please understand that not all video cards support using HDMI extensions, but I had success with the Insignia VR Extension cable. It's much more flexible than having two separate cables (USB/HDMI) coupled together with tech sleeve.

Great extension but keep in mind and hdmi repeater will be needed with some video cards to run a Rift. No complaints with the product.

Cord works very good and you can even update the driver on the USB and HDMI, would recommend some sort of cord management system or adhesive tape to keep setup clean of cords, also works with Adapters

I was worried that I would need a booster or some specialty cable that would cost a hundred bucks, but no. This did the job right out of the package. No stutters, no lag induced.

Needed this cable extension for just what it is for. It does the job very well. Did not have any issues connecting and finding my Oculus Rift when connected to my PC.
