To put it simply, these do the trick but aren’t the best quality. In other words, they work but also have a tendency to stop working if the right amount of pressure or movement is applied to the part that connects directly into the iPhone. I use my phone and headphones while I work and have my phone positioned on my waist via a fairly secure belt. I’ve never had issues using old headphone jack earphones but recently upgraded to the iPhone Xs Max and had to also upgrade to the new lightning adapters in order to continue using my outdated earphones. I noticed that, ranging from slight movements to harder ones, my audio would suddenly stop - upon checking multiple times, I realized the lightning dongle would slightly move and when it would it would act as if I had removed the dongle from the phone thus causing the audio in a podcast or the music app to pause. Rather than being able to simply press play to continue listening, I would have to completely unplug and replug the adapter in order to do so. I tested this with the lightning earphones that come with the iPhone and these do not have any issues. With all of that said, these adapters mostly work fine for other more casual uses such as listening at home or for use in the car where the phone can mostly be still and not be jostled around (ie, from movement). It’s possible that I received a bad batch, but I would assume that this isn’t a 100% isolated issue with my box only. I would recommend buying the official apple version of the adapter instead which will only run you about $2 more and which I’m betting won’t have the aforementioned issue. Hope this helps!

I bought this Insignia lightning to headphone jack adapter because of the bad experiences I have had with the Apple version of this same adapter. I would have thought that the Apple version would be the best because it is from the manufacturer of the iPhone itself. I was, however, completely wrong. Read on. Every Apple adapter I have purchased of this kind has stopped working within days to weeks. Not only is this Insignia adapter better than the Apple adapter, but per unit it is less expensive. Note that the item game in a two-pack, but it was one dollar less per unit than the Apple adapter, and I needed two of them anyway. I wholly recommend this product as it has worked flawlessly for me.

This two-pack not only works, but it was conveniently located in the Best Buy vending machine at the Indianapolis airport. Thank goodness! We had a trip and forgot our adapters for Lightning-only iPhones. (No, we don't have bluetooth headphones, sadly.) Price was good and the product works. Yeah, the cable is thin, but no skinnier than the dumb Apple adapters. Big call-out to the BB vending machine team for having this there with all of the high end products. This is an essential...until Apple goes back to 1/8" headphone jacks. Which will never happen, cuz only cheapskates are using wired headphones. Or old-skool audiophiles.

When Apple removed the 3.5mm headphone jack from its iPhones it made all sorts of accessories - including microphones and headphones - incompatible. For instance, the Rode Lavalier+ microphone is an excellent lapel microphone designed for use with smartphones that I can use in a pinch to record high quality audio interviews right on my iPhone. Since both my spouse and I acquired new iPhones around the same time, this two-pack was ideal for us to enable backwards compatibility to many accessories. After more than five months with them, they work beautifully in daily use.

This is a good attachment for my phone. It make it possible to use headphones now days that there is no headphone jack. It last has lasted me much longer so far then the name brand by Apple One I had and the one I got on eBay form China. And I am hard on stuff when I am working and fixing stuff all day. So far nothing as happened to this Adapter. It looks brand new still. And the cool thing is this product comes with two adapters one for back up I want to use a different place like I use for my speaker.

This is my upgrade from the 1st Generation (prior to the Series 1) stainless steel apple watch. Since I was no longer able to do any updates and take part in the latest features, I figured it was time to get a new one. I love the stainless steel watch even though it's significantly more money because the sapphire crystal doesn't get scratched. Setting up the watch on the app was seamless and I was up and running very quickly. I also love that all my prior bands from my old 42mm watch still fit this new watch even though it is 2mm bigger.

So many people complained about going without the headphone jack, and yet all they had to do was buy this one simple little problem solver. The adapter is very easy to use and has lasted me well over a year so far. Sounds no different than bluetooth or straight jack connection. I highly recommend this to anyone who doesn't want to chuck out their pricey headphones just because Apple decided to send the headphone port the way of the dinosaurs.

Great quality. I bought these to connect some older headphone wired devices to my iPhone. I had previously owned the Apple branded version of this adapter and lost it. These were so inexpensive (and two for the price) compared to the "official" Apple item that I decided to try them. I have not been disappointed. Works as described and expected.

COVID-19 sucks. We are all trying to figure out what to do to keep us from being bored to death, or we are on our way to work as essential workers, after watching the news and seeing the chaos going on. Sometimes it’s all too much for us to handle. Music is my go to in times like this. This pack comes with two which makes it even better! You’ll never have to go without one!

When I bought this I didn’t notice there are 2 in the box, which I guess is good because they are so small and easy to lose. I expected to pay this price for just 1, so it was a nice surprise to have a back up. I wish Apple would put the earbud jack back on the phone, but until they do, this is another must have accessory.

I needed a lightning to 3.5mm headphone adapter since the newer iPhones don't have a 3.5mm headphone jack. This does the job and was cheaper than buying two of the Apple branded ones. It's working fine - no issues. The fit is tight enough that it doesn't fall out when my phone is sitting vertically in a cradle, with the adapter and headphone cable plugged in.

I probably have 6 sets of headphones from my various I phones and when they changed the input from the original type of round plug to the flat plug, this adapter is essential so I can use my headphones and therefore can keep headphones in different places. I also use this to plug my phone into my car auxiliary port so that i can listen to me music tthat's on my phone in my car

Love this Lightning to Headphone adapter! Have had it for about a year now, and it's been amazing! I use it all the time and it doesn't have any cracking, ripping, or wires poking through at any of the joints. Seems pretty decently made, at least as well-made if not better than the cords Apple puts out!

Very satisfied with this product! Great sound and seems durable. Love that it comes with 2 adapters—allowing me to keep them connected to the wired 3.5mm headphones I use frequently. Really helpful during airplane travel—so I can use my older headphones with my iPhone, but also use them with the in-flight personal entertainment.

These are a must with newer iPhones if you want to use headphone with cords with a 3.5 audio jack. I’m to stubborn to get rid of my Bose headphone the quality is just to good to give up. So I’ll keep buying these for all our phones in the house and travel bags!!!! Plus you can’t beat the price two for the price of one Apple product!!!!

This pair of lightning to headphone adapters worked as advertised. These allow the newer Iphones to utilize headphones you already have without needing to upgrade or get bluetooth headphones. They seem to be good quality (only used them a month), will update if something wears out.

These work very well, and I don’t notice any difference in sound quality between this connection and the direct 3mm connection. However, the physical wiring within this cable is not as sturdy as I would expect. Many times when connecting through the 3mm port, I would end up pulling the connection free of the port; no m, just reconnect and go. With this cable, pulling on it, or dropping the phone and having it rip free of the 3mm port resulted in this cable’s wiring To become loose inside and resulted in a bad connection.

My daughters adapter bit the dust, and she had a 4 plus hr. car trip that she was planning on listening to a book on her I-Phone... This worked great plug in to her car! Was available at my local Best Buy...order online and was ready for pick-up in an hour!

I have been using this adapter to play podcasts and listen to navigation directions in my car with my iPhone Xs Max. I can speak to its durability as I've only been using it a few weeks. Also, I haven't used it with wired headphones to access speaker functions while talking on the phone. But for my uses, it's been great!

I ordered these and my son ordered some cheaper adapters over the internet. The ones he ordered didn't work with his iPhone at all. Tried these and they worked flawlessly. I also liked the fact that there were two adapters in the package - you can always use an extra one.
