Q: How many channels can I get it???
A: The amount of channels varies based on location. This antenna picks up over the air networks such as ABC and NBC not cable or pay channels.
A: It's entirely up to the signal penetration in your area. Try looking at websites like www.tvfool.com or www.antennaweb.org to get an idea of what you may be able to get over the air. Both sites will compare your exact location with FCC transmitter database to give you a pretty good idea of what you can get and what kind of antenna you would need.
A: No it doesn't. Only local channels
Q: Is it supposed to work on smart TVs because it didn't work on mine
A: Did you go into the settings on the smart TV and run a scan for over the air channels? The unit is not a plug and watch...you must have the TV run the scan to find the channels.
A: It is not the antenna that needs to be reprogrammed. It has no capabilities, it just pulls in over the air signals. Your TV is what needs to be reprogrammed. Go into settings, you should see something in regards to input source or antenna. You want to run a new scan for digital over the air channels. Once that has completed the old channels will be removed and any new ones will be available. If the signals are pixelated or fade in and out and you move the antenna to improve the signal; you will need to run a new scan on the TV. Hope this helps!
Q: Distance
A: The range is up to 40 miles.
Q: want to go cable free in some rooms in my house.
A: As long as your TV contains a digital (ATSC) tuner it should work fine.
Q: How long is the coax cable?
A: About 5 feet long.
