This adapter worked great for our trip to Italy and is reasonably priced. I wish the adapters with the USB ports weren't so pricey, because that is a useful feature to have. It depends on what your needs are. But this adapter worked perfectly for us in multiple locations in Italy.

I bought this and my wife bought a more complex version where the plug types were interchangeable for a trip we made to the Netherlands. Hers turned out to be too bulky to actually fit the outlets and we ended up taking turns with this one. So in conclusion, this unit worked the best while being smaller, simpler, and cheaper than the competition. what's not to like?

This works well for chargers and the like which can take 220-240 volts, but be aware it will not change voltage if your device requires 110 v. I used it when traveling in Europe with Apple chargers (for iPhone and iPad). Its small size makes it easy to slip into a full bag when traveling.
