A: The feature that your asking about is contained in MS Office Word 2016 and it's called Dictation, it's not something the Microphone does, but rather something your computer and it's softer can do for you. I Use my microphone to dictate to MS Word, as well as to insert spoken text into search engines and websites. The accuracy of the words being typed is dependent on the quality of the microphone. This Insignia USB Microphone is more than adequate for that task. If you find you need more accuracy, there is a feature within windows 10, speech learning, which you can enable so that the computer learners your speech pattern and improves as you correct it. Within Windows 10, goto "Settings" and "Easy of Access". On the left hand panel, scroll down to the "Interaction" section, and select "Speech" to setup the feature. Once you activate it you be able to turn the feature on and off, using the key combination by pressing "Microsoft Key" (the one with the windows symbol) and the Letter "H", a tap of the "H" is all that is needed. Once you've gotten that far, you can learn to use command like "Period", it makes a (.) or the command "Return", which produces a carriage return in your document.
