Took a bit of research, and I had to return the first iteration of this I purchased, but this is perfect for hooking up a second monitor to my iMac.

Needed it to connect an older projector to a new laptop. Worked great right out of the box. Connected it and the image instantly popped up on the big screen. It was also a few dollars cheaper than the VGA to HDMI adapter I was planning to get.

Writing this for the 25 best buy points. Its an adapter what can I say. It works. It works well. I am content. I expected performance and it performed. Only thing is that it doesn't adapt to other things, but thats not what I paid for,m I paid for this specific adaption from point a to point b. It serves its purpose and I am content.

I was using the stock dongle that came with my Huawei matebook x pro and my external monitor started flashing on and off. After thinking it was something to do with Windows update I replaced it with this adapter. The problem was resolved and the product works flawlessly. For anyone with a new laptop that requires the use of USB-C, this is a great option to get an older monitor to work with your new computer.

This adapter is very easy to use. You connect it to the back of the monitor of your desktop Apple computer and connect the other end to the VGA extension that connects to my extra monitor and a screen image appeared automatically. There are no extra steps to do to get it to work. Very satisfied with this device.

Wife working at home because of Covid-19 using her small Dell laptop with only HDMI out and I had an old Dell monitor only with VGA and DisplayPort. HDMI to DP seemed like a real pain and I stumbled upon this thing. Monitor recognized immediately after it was all hooked up. So far so good! NOTE: Why would someone offer a review that didn't even take it out of the box? People...

Even in this day and age you never know when you're gonna need to hook up an old connection to a new standard. No where is that more revenant than with displays. VGA is so absurdly common on older monitors that you'd be a fool not to have at lease ONE of these lying around. It worked and that's all I needed.

I was afraid I was going to have to buy a new monitor once I realized my new laptop wouldn't allow a connection with my external second screen, but this gadget did the trick! Worked immediately without having to download any software. Just plugged it I and was good to go!

I bought this for the reason will work from home due to Covid19 pandemic. I need this to connect my Razer Blade stealth to a 29 inch monitor. So far so good, can't complain. It is serving it's purpose for a bargain price, will definitely recommend.

It's a good product, and does what it says. Honestly, I ended up returning the item though because I found it cheaper elsewhere. I was surprised that this store-brand product was still $25+ for just an adapter. Easy to use, just plug-and-play.

Recently purchased a laptop that only has USB-C. I needed a connection to projectors for presentations. Since almost all projectors have VGA, I decided to bought this, and it has worked fine so far. Its light and doesn't take much space to carry.

Adapter works well with external monitor. It does NOT have the screw holes to secure the connection, however, that had yet to pose an issue. I connect/disconnect multiple times daily as I use my MacBook Pro at work and go from meeting to meeting.

I needed an adapter to connect my computer to a digital projector and this item works perfectly. I use it for digital presentations every Monday and it makes a perfect connection between the projector and my computer. I recommend it.

I used this for a lecture I was giving 5 days after I bought my new laptop. The hook-up was easy and the videos played without a glitch. It was very easy to pack with my other presenting gear and didn't take up much room.

I am having to use work laptop (Surface Pro) at home and it only has USB-C port. I have an older VGA monitor. This dud the trick - just plug it in and all set to go.

Easy to use. Literally plug and play. I had gone through 3 other adapters which never specified they wouldn't work on a chromebook. I was about to give up but then I found this. Thank goodness because my 4th grader and I were having trouble with such a little screen for online schooling. My boss gave me an older dell monitor to try plugging in as a 2nd monitor and this adapter worked!

I went into the store expecting to spend quite a bit more on a Thunderbolt adapter, but I found this option, being fairly newly released that was far more economically priced and it works well.
