I was satisfied with the brightness of the light, but was disappointed in the design. The user interface is not well-suited to the available features. For instance, to access the low-light modes (green and red), you must first cycle through the bright white light, which defeats the point. A separate button for the red and green LEDs would have been great. As it is, a single button controls all functions. Another disappointment is that there is no low-level mode for the white light, which tends to be my most commonly-used mode. The best features are the solid construction and the brightness of the main beam, though it could be whiter (has a tinge of green).

I bought 2 of these when it was on sale. One of them I left in my car (without the 3 AAA slotted in to save battery) for emergency use at night if something goes wrong with the tires or under the hood. The other one I leave in my room to use. The whole point of this headlamp is to use a flashlight and having 2 free hands to work with. It's bright like a typical cheap flashlight and range is good to use in a bed room or working on a car. Do not buy this if you plan on using it by walking in the wood as the range is terrible. You can probably use it for jogging at night as it also has red and green LED you can press; however, there is no strobe light feature, though having strobe feature is best for jogging so people can be aware of you at night for your own safety. I like to play around with the red/green light when I use this headlamp.

Not only is this light convenient and bright, it is also well priced. The movable lamp allows for directed aim for the best angle of line of sight. Use for gathering wood, sewing, and grilling. We can't wait to go camping with it.

I am not a headlamp fan first off, I don't really know why I just always found them lacking or way to expensive for the limited use I would put them too. I saw this product in Best Buy and what caught my attention were the different color lights encompassed in the headlamp. For the sake of time I will just say different colors have different attributes some of which I was working on addressing for before going on an expedition of sorts. First the packaging said water proof, not resistant and it turned out after several submersions to be 100 percent accurate. The main light has variable power settings and at its highest level lit up a cave quite impressively. It's battery life was impressive and even better when operated at lower modes. This light runs on 3 AAA batteries housed in the unit which is a personal bonus because I personally do not like battery packs. The headband easily fit around my helmet and it is adjustable to fit a wide range of head or helmet sizes. Because it was so reasonable I intended to use it as a back up only because we all know you get what you pay for! I am happy to say that in this case that old adage does not apply it worked flawlessly in a relatively dangerous enviorment and I never had to resort to any other light some costing 10+ times the price of this light. Still on the fence with headlamps but sometimes you have to use them and this is one I will definitely use again,waterproof lights simply do not sell in this price range and actually keep out water, this one does along with a couple other great features. Lastly I have to briefly mention the abuse the product endured although unintentional it was pretty severe but I have to report no failures what so ever, my only gripe. Was the on off button was sometimes hard to manipulate but it was not that big a deal and I was wearing gloves, bottom line great product at a great price pick one up you can't go wrong!

I got this headlamp for a great price. I had to clean the crawlspace of a house. I used the headlamp for over two hours and batteries were still running fine. The light is bright, the beam reaches far, the bulb doesn't consume much battery, it stayed in place, and fairly comfortable.

I train scout leaders and we train in the outdoors so I camp out. It has been difficult to find things in the tent using traditional flashlights or lanterns. By wearing this light I will be able to use both hands searching through my gear. The red light is also effective and should not disturb my tentmate.

The light works well takes a bit to get used to the on off button. Love the green light . The green light works best at night way better than the red. The button is theonly reason I took 1 star.

This lamp is BRIGHT. I mean REALLY BRIGHT. It also has two additional light modes: a pair of red and a single green LED, so you can use the red LED's to preserve your night vision. My only complaint is that it uses AAA batteries. Being smaller and with less capacity, it limits the usable life of the headlight, so I may not use this headlamp as much as my other LED headlamps that take AA cells. But for $10? It's a good deal.

A bright and resilient headlamp with additional light patterns. Was pretty useful considering its small size for portability and hard to reach/see places.

I use this headlamp for running. it's very comfortable and very bright. A great feature of this headlamp is the adjust-ability of the light beam while you're running (or working). It has several up and down adjustments that require only a second of your time. I don't use all light features (red light, red flashing light, green, and "clear"). It fits great (it's adjustable) and feels secure (has a strap that goes around your head and one that goes over your head). Highly recommended.

The white light is very strong and illuminates extremely well. The blinking red light is great when I running at night so people are aware of my presence. Have not found a use for the green light yet.

This was a gift from my wife. I was able to use it for the first time on a recent back packing trip. I love it for that. Super bright light that is very easy to use.

I use this when going to fish in the lake/river. it provides good light to see what I am doing at dawn

What a great product to have. Used it camping as a tent light, hands free flash light, and even under water swimming. Had a power outage at home and even used it bouncing off the ceiling to light up the bedroom. WOW! What an amazing product. Purchased 7 more to give to my camping buddies. Best Buy, You guys have done it again. KUDOS!

Has a fairly good distribution when lighting and easily withstands strong rain if used when biking or on a boat.

Headlamp is really handy and excellent for small applications.

The insignia headlamp works great. I've wanted a good headlight for some time now but prices always turn me around. Found this one at Best Buy for $14.00 and what a bargain it is. Dependable and bright. Takes three triple A batteries and that is the only drawback. Battery life seems short.
