Many appreciate the included tripod and the device's compact size, making it convenient for various shooting scenarios. The AI tracking features also receive positive feedback for their effectiveness and ease of use. While some users highlight the long battery life and numerous features, there are no reported negative comments.
I recently picked up the Insta360 Flow, and as a creator who is always on the move, the one-step rapid deployment and all-in-one design stood out immediately. It's lightweight, folds up to a small size, and the integrated selfie stick and tripod mean I don't have to carry extra accessories. Setting it up with my phone was quick and the magnetic phone clamp feels very secure. The 3-axis stabilization is incredibly smooth and reliable. While my phone has its own optical image stabilization, the Flow takes it to a whole new level, especially when I'm walking or panning the camera. The different modes like Follow and Pan Follow are easy to switch between and are great for adding variety to my shots. The AI tracking is what really sets this gimbal apart. I primarily use Deep Track 3.0, and it's almost flawless at keeping me centered in the frame, even when I'm moving around a lot. There was one instance where I stepped behind a pillar, and the gimbal quickly re-identified me when I came back into view. This feature alone makes it incredibly useful for solo content creation. The Insta360 app is a pleasure to use, with a well-designed interface and a variety of templates to get started. The Shot Genie feature is particularly helpful for inspiration. I was also able to use the AI tracking directly within my native iPhone camera app, which is a great bonus. The long-lasting 12-hour battery is a huge plus, and the ability to use the gimbal as a power bank in a pinch is a lifesaver. My main criticism is the limited tilt range, which makes some low-angle or upward-facing shots more challenging. It’s a minor issue for my regular use, but something to be aware of. Also, the built-in tripod, while convenient, feels a bit less sturdy than a standalone one. Would recommend: Yes, particularly for beginner and intermediate content creators. Pros and Cons: Pros: Excellent AI-powered Deep Track 3.0 subject tracking. Integrated selfie stick, tripod, and power bank. One-step, rapid setup and automatic power-on. Intuitive and feature-rich app with editing tools. Superior stabilization for buttery-smooth footage. Cons: Limited tilt range. Tripod is less sturdy than a dedicated one. Some compatibility limitations, especially with certain Android features.

From it's telescoping selfie stick to its built in tripod and the integrated in power bank, the team at Insta360 truly thought of everything. It is one of the best gimbals out there in 2023, hands down, with one notable flaw - it's only compatible with major phones such as Samsung and iPhone... mostly. I have the Pixel Pro 6 and I have access to most of the camera modes, but I did notice that I do not have access to "widescreen mode" & "hoop mode." That latter mode is the reason why I bought the gimbal in the first place: to track myself while playing basketball. I was sadly disappointed to discover that my Pixel Pro 6 does not have "hoop mode." If you own a Samsung or iPhone, which most people do, then there really are no flaws, in my opinion. Even if you own a phone other than iPhone and Samsung, and don't mind losing the few camera modes, then this gimbal is still the best option out there. But if you fit in the small group of folks that have any other phone, and are looking to use "widescreen mode" and/or "hoop mode" you have to settle with the camera modes available or change phones. Overall, I will still be keeping this gimbal because it is great. But I hope that the Insta360 team releases an update that makes "widescreen mode" and especially "hoop mode" compatible with ALL phones.
