Why does it say that it only measures 8 inches wide and 24 inches tall? 8 inches wide?? I already got scammed once this year on a pool, I am very skiddish at this point!

I just bought this and put it together. It did not come with a pump even though it advertised it did. I recieved accessories for a pump but no pump!
