SCALPTURE's InchPanzerdoktrinInch (doctrine of tanks) is a raw gem of a debut album. It already shows the direction where the band has been going to over the course of their released albums so far - pummeling death metal with a nod to the old school, but also with a more modern approach to sound and structures. When SCALPTURE came into being in the German city of Bielefeld in 2009, founding guitarist Felix Marbach already had a clear vision The musical direction was to be death metal without any compromise regarding it's roots and values, but at the same time the band aimed to evolve into a singular musical entity with a unique style very much their own right from the start. It is hardly surprising that all SCALPTURE's album titles refer to the topic of 'war' that the band has decided to adopt as their prime lyrical theme. Staying away from glorifying stereotypes, their texts are built on detailed historical research and portray the horrors that the abyss of war has caused in some of the darkest hours of humankind. Although the Germans have chosen war as their main subject, SCALPTURE embrace modern values such as tolerance, peace, and reason. Album Tracks 1. Forward March 2. ... Panzer Hooray! 3. Lead from Ahead 4. Dam Busters 5. Flattened Horizons (Pounding Howitzers) 6. No Rest, No Sleep, No Peace 7. Incursion 8. Not a Single Step Back 9. Embrace the Afterglow

Vinyl LP pressing. Skaldr is an American black metal band born in 2017 in Virginia. With Sam?sr?, Skaldr leans into the melodic, cold atmospheres reminiscent of Scandinavia classic black metal sound from the '90s. Drawing inspiration from bands like Dawn, Dissection, and Windir, Skaldr evokes a sound that feels both rooted in tradition and invigorated with fresh energy. Each track builds upon the previous, weaving intricate guitar melodies, relentless percussion, and somber atmospheric elements to create a mournful yet fierce landscape. Skaldr's dual guitars create an interplay of harmony and discord, echoing the album's theme of unity through destruction.
