Had to connect to an older monitor, this provided excellent results.

Review coming from an event planner from a Community Event Center that provides AV: Easy to use but didn't work with MacBooks. However, it was trying to help us connect to an older projector system. The MacBooks would recognize the adapter but the image wouldn't translate to the projectors. Works great making our old (unable to be uninstalled) VGA cable work with newer computers that only have an HDMI port. So works but needs to be tested on Mac Products!

I purchases this converter to convert my VGA Projector to work with my Laptop that only has HDMI out and it works great and sends the audio through to the projector. Works great, if you need to do the same or to convert from HDMI to a VGA external monitor, buy it and don't look back. Because you never will.

I needed this so I could attach my small Samsung laptop to a projector. My laptop didn't have the correct port, so this did the trick for me. It was recommended by someone else who had to use the same thing for his iPad. Works as designed.

This worked exactly as it said it would. My projector didn't supply enough power so i had to purchase a mini usb (i had some lying around but they didn't work so before returning i bought a new mini usb and BOOM it worked)

We are using an Apple TV with a LCD projector in a classroom at our church. The projector does not have an HDMI input. It only has VGA. I first purchased another brand from another online retailer and it was hit and miss until it completely stopped working. I assumed there was simply going to be handshake problems between the AppleTV and the projector and was about to give up. Then i purchased this one at a local Best Buy on sale assuming if it didn't work, i could simply return it. It has not given us any problems at all since we began using it. This is a great go-between for AppleTV and a VGA projector!

This one is a good HDMI extension chord for the laptops these days which doesnt have a vga port. This one works right off the box. the best part is it can export audio as well as video. nice

Simple product that does what it says. I've got an old VGA monitor hooked up to a GeForce GTX 750 Ti graphics card using this adapter and it's run great for a two months so far!

We have only used it once at this point to connect from a laptop to a projector. It worked entirely as advertised. The only spot of difficulty was probably the laptop's fault. When first hooked up for testing it kept the sound coming out the headphone jack. When we restarted for the actual presentation, the sound was coming through the HDMI. Quick switch of cable from the laptop to the adapter and all was well.

I've tried 2 other HDMI-to-VGA adapters prior to purchasing this one. The other ones just didn't work, or you had to jump through hoops to get it to work some what decently. However, the J5CREATE HDMI-to-VGA adapter worked 100% effectively as soon as I connected the HDMI connector to my laptop and the VGA connector to the VGA cable of my TV.

This was extremely easy to use and install. Glad it is reliable.

This pricey little widget does exactly what it's supposed to do: connect my iDevice to a television. It adapts the lightening port to an HDMI cable. We use to stream shows off my iPad onto our family-sized television. I think the price is overrated (not Best Buy's fault; you won't find it much cheaper anywhere else), but it works great.

I bought the device to connect a second monitor to my Laptop and this was a good product for that. However, my laptop is really new and the second monitor was really old. So, the adapter worked for the first couple of minutes and then stopped working. It was too much for it to try and consolidate the two very different resolution types, etc.

I order adapters for a large charter school company and I've ordered multiple HDMI adapters before for Lenovo machines that no longer have VGA ports for legacy projectors. I've ordered other HDMI adapters (Lenovo, Insignia, etc) and they all black out every so often. These are the only ones that work 100% of the time.

I am not tech saavy by no means, but i purchased this HDMI-to-VGA Adapter- j5 create, at Best Buy and hooking it up,getting the data to show up on my T.V. from and old laptop w/ VGA connect, was very easy. So I would recommend this to any of my friends that had the sharing between VGA to HDMI dilemma as I had.

I bought this to plug my external monitor to the HDMI port of my laptop. I like that I can use the screws on the monitor's VGA cable to secure it to this connector, and the HDMI end fits my laptop securely. Since my laptop's VGA port has no screw holes, the connection was not very secure until I got this adaptor.
