Hasn't worked yet with and Win 11 or 10 laptop at work. iPhone and androids connect perfectly. J5 support is terrible - never got through on phone calls over multiple weeks, Emailed their support team on March 14 and they responded on March 29th...unfortunately too late to return due to Best Buy 15 day return policy. They have been responding to emails about once a week, even though I email them back immediately

It worked initially but hard to set up the connection. When it is connected it works for a little while then crashes and I have to connect again. After a few times using it, now I cannot connect anymore.

I have been using a casting device by another for years. I keep two so I have a back up as I use them for work. I lost one so I found this one at Best Buy and I like that it works for android, iPad and PC where my old one would not work with apple. For work I had some issue and I thought I would return it since it didn't work well at a distance. But the fact that it worked with Apple I figured it would be good for trips I take to screen cast my iPad to hotel TVs. Well first had a lot of trouble getting it to work and had to do some research and update it. After the update I finally got it to screen cast. The problem now is all the streaming tv service will not allow streaming to this device. My old one while will not work with apple allow the streaming of tv. So this thing is not worthless to me as that's the only reason I keep it does not work. While the other device does not work with apple it is stronger and allows more. If your just looking to see your ipad on a big screen

It works okay but does drop the signal sometimes. For that I would give 3 stars. But you can buy a ROKU stick for 1/2 the price that does the same thing plus a whole lot more. Don't believe the Best Buy sales people. They don't know what they are talking about. They just want to make as big a sale a possible. Mine wanted me to buy two of these, One for the computer and one for the TV. It only plugs into the TV.

Wireless performance can be affected by several factors, such as:
Network congestion
Interference from nearby wireless devices
Distance between the source and the display
We always recommend using the included dual-band antenna and keeping both devices within line-of-sight for best stability.

I mean, it works. It likes to drop out about every 45 mins, meaning you have to reconnect. It is also suuuupppppeeerrr slow to connect at all, and sometimes it takes multiple attempts.

This thing sucks, the audio sometimes de-syncs, other times the whole thing freezes, and when my phone is on my lap, my leg or arm might be in the way which is apparently enough to completely block the signal. Sometimes the signal disconnects for no reason even though my phone is 4ft away from the antenna unobstructed. If you enjoy feeling slightly annoyed to outright frustrated then by all means buy this product.

Device was not compatible with my LG TV. Having to go to a web site to activate the device was complicated and didn't work between my LG TV and my HP laptop computer.

Make sure the LG TV is set to the HDMI port where the ScreenCast adapter is connected. Some TVs require you to enable HDMI-CEC or similar settings for external devices.
Ensure the adapter is plugged into a 5V/1A USB power source. If using a USB port on the TV, try an external power adapter if the signal is weak or unstable.
Ensure Wi-Fi and Miracast support are enabled on your HP laptop.
Open a browser on your laptop and enter the address shown on your TV screen (e.g., http://192.168.49.1) to access the device interface. From there, follow on-screen steps to connect the adapter to your Wi-Fi network (if needed).

Purchased this item for a wireless connection between PC and projector. The image quality was very poor and lost connection at multiple times.

I've tried wireless display from a 2023 Windows 11 HP Elitebook with limited success. The Screencast drops the connection any time the program goes from full screen to less or changing an app. I would suggest a pass.

in theory this is an amazing device, in reality it leaves a lot to be desired. This worked for all of two hours on my brand new 2022 laptop but the connection kept needing to be restored. And now it does not connect at all. so bleh, save your money.

Would not connect to my Win10 PC via any of the display options and their support is slow enough to delay you past the 15-day return date. Even with knowing the PC had full compatibility, Support was unable to get it to work.

Check if there are firmware or software updates available for the ScreenCast 4K Wireless Display Adapter. Installing the latest updates may resolve compatibility issues. Ensure that your PC and the adapter are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Incompatible or misconfigured networks can prevent successful connections. Verify that your PC's graphics drivers are up to date. Outdated or incompatible graphics drivers can affect screen mirroring and display functionality. To rule out PC-specific issues, try connecting the ScreenCast 4K Wireless Display Adapter to a different Windows 10 PC if available. This can help determine if the issue is specific to one device.

I have an Iphone 16 pro-max and this did not fit at all.

It sounds like there’s a misunderstanding about how the ScreenCast 4K Wireless Display Adapter works, it doesn’t physically plug into your iPhone like a cable.
The JVAW76 connects wirelessly using AirPlay (for iPhone/iPad) or Miracast/Google Cast (for other devices). It plugs into your TV or monitor’s HDMI port for video and a USB port (or adapter) for power.
If you tried to “fit” it into your iPhone’s charging port, that’s why it didn’t work, the device is meant to stay connected to your display, and your iPhone streams to it over Wi-Fi Direct.

Returned it. The quality of the 4k is awful. Screen is Glitchy and even at 30hz it is worthless. Tried from 2 different computers and 2 tvs. Just not as good as the Microsoft Adapter 4k. Wish that was still around. Just go with the 1080p one. Easy to set up but sucks.

When it comes to wireless display adapters, the quality of the streaming experience can be influenced by various factors, including compatibility, signal strength, and network conditions. Make sure your devices are connected to a strong and stable Wi-Fi network for optimal performance. Network congestion can affect the streaming quality. If multiple devices are using the same network or if your network is slow, it can impact the performance of wireless display adapters. If possible, try using the ScreenCast adapter in different physical locations to see if the performance improves. Sometimes, interference from other devices or physical obstacles can affect wireless performance.

This thing didn't really work at all for my intended use case (hooking up to a projector to remote connect devices.) It was laggy and choppy and ultimately just didn't cut it. I returned it within a few days of purchase.

Ensure that the Wi-Fi network you're using is stable and has sufficient bandwidth. A congested or unstable network can contribute to poor performance. Interference from other electronic devices or Wi-Fi networks can impact signal quality. Verify that the devices you're trying to connect are compatible with the wireless display adapter. Some devices may have specific requirements or limitations.

I was told I did not need internet to make this work and it's not working.. I've been stuck on the same setup page no matter what I do! It will tell me that my device is connected but it won't show anything it just stays on that set up menu screen...

The JVAW76 does not require internet access for local screen mirroring via Miracast, AirPlay, or Google Cast. However, your device must connect to the adapter's private Wi-Fi signal to establish a direct link.
For more information on setup, please contact j5create support agent through the official website (j5create.com). Thank you.

Wanted to stream a movie from my DVD Player, but it did not work. I returned it for a refund.
Posted
The JVAW76 is designed to wirelessly mirror or extend the display from devices like laptops, tablets, and smartphones that support screen casting. Unfortunately, DVD and Blu-ray players don’t support wireless display output, so the adapter won’t be able to stream video from those devices.
