I decided to test this product because I have an older TV in my office that doesn't support casting. The USB cable that supplies power was a bit too short to reach the USB connector on my TV, after I connected the unit into the only free HDMI port, so I had to use an extra AC adapter I had laying around to plug it into a wall outlet. Other than that, the J5Create ScreenCast was fairly simple to set up, although connecting to the device's admin gateway was simple enough, I could see it being awkward for some. Once the device was set up and connected to my router, it was again fairly simple to cast/mirror various devices. I use 'fairly simple' because not all of the apps on my android phones can cast to the device... they simple don't see it as an option. For instance, YouTube see the device as a cast option without fail, but Rumble and HBOMax never see the device as a cast option, which is odd since I cast to other TVs with either app. I can mirror the phones and view content via those apps, but that's a bit of overkill if all I want to do is cast content. I haven't had time to contact support about that issue, but I will even though I'm sure I'll be told the issue is with the apps. I've also mirrored several Windows laptops without any serious issues, although I did get a warning on several occasions that the connection was unstable; the connection was never interrupted and I didn't really see any degradation in quality. Overall, I'm pleased with this product, but the inability to simply cast from certain well-known apps is a bit of a let down. Hopefully a call to support will rectify that.

It is also native support for AirPlay, Miracast, & Chromecast (Google Cast). Our Customer Service Support is available through Live Chat or Email, if you have any questions regarding the JVAW76 device. Unfortunately, our phone support will temporarily be unavailable due to COVID situations. Thank you for your feedback. It is much appreciated. Enjoy.

The j5create ScreenCast 4K works shockingly well. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect from it, since most of my experience with Miracast has been what's been built into TVs, and those experiences haven't been great. But the ScreenCast has been really quite good. Once setup, PC's have no issues finding the ScreenCast and mirroring to it. Latency is typically good, but I've run into a coupe of glitches here and there, but nothing major. The ScreenCast also supports Apple's AirPlay, and while it also works quite well, it isn't as convenient as what an Apple TV can provide. The biggest stumbling block is that with an Apple TV, if setup properly, any Apple device in range can stream to it without having to be on the same WiFi network. With the ScreenCast, an Apple device must either be on the same WiFi network as the ScreenCast, or connected directly to the ScreenCast's WiFi network in order to stream to it (PC's can stream to it without having to be on the same WiFi network). This isn't a deal breaker by any means, and for the vast majority of people it probably doesn't matter, but just something to be aware of. Finally, it also supports Google Cast, and it works just as well as any other Google Cast device - which is to say not great. Casting a browser tab or a Youtube video works just fine, but mirroring the entire screen of a computer is not great. It's good in a pinch, if the computer you're using doesn't support Miracast or AirPlay, but otherwise it's not even worth turning that capability on (and it's telling, that out of the box, Google Cast isn't even enabled).

So far i like the device. Easy hookup, easy screen mirroring, i am able to cast prime movies from my phone to my somewhat smart tv. Dont even waste your money on the cheap chinese casting devices, nothing but headaches.

Great product. Use it for my conference room and it works well for simple presentation casting or zoom calls.

Works really well but bluetooth is too slow for what I wanted it for. Not the products fault.

Works well most of the time. Sometimes it pauses or has connection issues

This is working fine with screen mirroring both Windows and Mac laptops but the maximum resolution is only 4K@30 which is listed nowhere in the specs. We are using it at 1080@60 instead so its not laggy.

I watch a lot of videos on my phone and this was a quick and easy way to watch them on my tv in bed or when my phone is charging. Every once in a while the video will get real laggy and itll say connection unstable. You just have to disconnect and reconnect.

This is great and helpful once you figure out how to set up. (The instructions were a little confusing) Very handy, minimal/no lag.

Pretty convenient for traveling with, very easy to connect to and picture is very clear. Only limitation is ios devices connect using wifi, which limits usage.

Works great for an extended monitor. Only downside is that you must disconnect to use wireless printing.

Good product worked without a hitch! Needed it for my car to screen mirror, of course you need a network to connect to so make sure you have that setup first.

it does great with my photos; not as good casting audio. installer blamed it on my phone, but the phone audio does great with the new car system

I paired it with a projector I just bought. A bit of latency since it depends on the wireless signal.

I love watching my computer on a big screen. It works great.
