Addition to being battery powered, can the side speakers be 110 powered (to alleviate the need to recharge)? Do they have to be recharged by attaching to the main sound bar? Thanks!
Answered by JBL SupportThe surround speakers of our JBL Bar 9.1 can be recharged through USB connection aside from directly connecting to the soundbar.
How do I connect my JBL 9.1 sound bar to my Sony Bravia A80j using HDMI cord?? I connected everything and it doesn’t work. I DONT want to use Bluetooth to the tv. Can someone please help me out here.
Answered by JBL SupportThe HDMI-ARC port on your TV should be used while the HDMI-CEC function is on. This will make your TV send the audio going down to the soundbar. Please check the manual of your TV to enable CEC.
How would this work on vaulted ceilings?

Do I have the option of pairing an additional subwoofer?
Answered by JBL SupportThanks for taking the time in providing your feedback with our JBL Bar 9.1. This unit is a standalone system and it's not possible to add/ connect other speakers or soundbars with it.
Does this has to be directly connected to the tv via hdmi or arc to receive sound or does it utilizes wifi to connect to the tv? I need clarification because I see customers have this set up with no cords or wires running from the bar to the tv!!!
Answered by JBL SupportOur JBL BAR 9.1 can be connected to a TV that is Bluetooth capable but we do not recommend this as it may cause audio/video delays when in use. We suggest connecting the Bar 9.1 with the TV via hdmi, ARC or wired connection for a more stable connection.
