This would be great if this speaker did not have connectivity issues. It will be in my pocket and as soon as I walk about 30 feet the connection breaks ups and or sounds laggy. I would have returned this as well however my window period ran out just after the first day I had it out doors. This device was never dropped or damaged either. Another thing I would like to see fixed or considered by JBL is a stand or some sort of anti rolling leg or design for this for when I have it stored in the trunk of the car. HOWEVER it has a really good battery worthy of a star for that at least. The bass is good indoors (great depending on the mix of the song) however when you take it out doors the presence in the bass is lost.

I bought a friend one 3 years ago and so we put them side by side his 3 year old same style speaker with my 1 year old speaker and the differences were obvious. mine sounded like crap. His bass was crisp and louder than mine. On top of that this thing is too heavy it hurts my wrists to lug it around. Lastly it appears one of the ends where the speaker lines is coming unglued. I have used this thing about 10 or 15 times since I bought it and it's never left my house so over all yeah I'm disappointed I wish I would have got the ue mega boom 100%

I had to return the speaker, it was the floor sample the blue tooth continued to disconnect the sound was ok the bass was good overall I'd give it a 6 needs more features other that just a speaker for sure it's not a BOOM BOX a BOOM BOX in my day played tapes and had radio

Bought this speaker as soon as it came out in October 2022. I used it maybe 5 times in 18 months. All of a sudden it stopped working. The speaker does not turn on and does not charge. Since the speaker is out of warranty, all Harmon can offer is a 35% discount code on my next purchase. Their nearest authorized dealer for repairs is 50 miles away from me and the preferred repair facility, which requires that I ship the item to them charges $150.00 to repair the speaker. I was told that the problem could be the charging cable/port or battery issue. $500 seems pretty expensive for a speaker I only got to use a few times. You’d think that Harmon would at least take a look at the problem to see if it’s a manufacturer’s defect even if it’s out of warranty, but that’s not the case. You’d also think that they would make it easier for customers to be able to be able to replace the battery if needed, but apparently you’d have to take the whole speaker apart for that. Very disapointed .

This sound machine is great. I love the deep bass, the treble, the mids, and the clarity of the sound. However, one thing that I do not like about this speaker is that the fabric, particularly the one on the back within the charging port is starting to shed or come-off. I also had the same issue with another boombox I bought 2 years ago. JBL needs to rethink about their design attributes and also come up with more durable materials in covering their boombox lineup. If they would wrap it with the same solid covering they use on the partybox speakers, then this would be an abbsolute advantage. Other than that, the THUNDERING BASS is EXCELLENT on this speaker.

Every 3-5 I have to buy a new one. the bluetooth connection starts skipping music like a broken CD player from the 90's. the bbl charge has 3 times the range, therefore making this Boombox heavy & a hassle. mandatory to get the protection & the inconvenience of having to swap it out at Best Buy, again....

You want to talk about broken pieces! This open box item was listed in EXCELLENT CONDITION! It was broken on both ends of the speaker. There are dents scratches and discoloration on the speaker. After I returned it. They put it on the sales floor for sale for more than what I paid for it! Now anyone who buys that speaker is crwazy! I did a video of it but this review won’t allow video just pictures. So buyer beware of $409 opened box speaker from Best Buy in Flowood Ms!

Sound is great but battery life is not. I can charge for more than 12 hours and the most time I have gotten out of it is 3hrs max. Very inconvenient for the price.

I am not sure how the speaker works yet, but I don't recommend purchasing online from Best Buy. They double charged my bank account $423 and now I won't have access to those funds (for x-mas shopping) until at least 3 more days when it either drops off my pending transactions or I dispute it. Thank goodness I had enough money to cover it or they would have over drafted my account. The help chat had no real help to give me except to say the double charge "should" drop off.

The speaker sounds great while the battery has charge. Unfortunately, I've gotten 4 hours of play time from a 6.5 hour charge. My JBL Xtreme 2 lasts longer than this speaker. This thing sucks for the price.

Out of all the Jbl speakers I’ve owned I’ve never had a problem. I literally bought this speaker and had to exchange it 2 times. All 3 of the speakers did not last the 24hrs being advertised on a full charge. They only lasted at most 4 hours. On top of that the speakers would sound like they had static no matter if the music was low or high. We tried different different music apps as I know sometimes that is an issue but it was the same with all the ones we tried. This was a Father’s Day gift and my dad wasn’t even able to enjoy it.

I originally ordered this from Amazon and it would skip like CD when I played Apple Music on my iphone. I figured maybe it was Amazon, so I returned the speaker and ordered from Best Buy. Same issue. Must be why its on sale? Strange Im not seeing any other comments about this issue. My Boombox 2 worked well for four years, so was looking fwd to the 3, but clearly there is an issue.

Package got stolen from fedex , they did not properly sealed the item with security tape or put it in a shipping box, all that was delivered was the box without the speaker in it, ive been trying to find a solution with them since march 17 (its april 13) and now they are telling me they cant do anything about it and i would need to contact our local police department.

Thanks for your feedback. It is possible that the battery of your JBL Boombox 3 is losing its capacity. However, it is also possible that the battery is working correctly, but depletes more quickly when the volume is very loud and/or the bass has been boosted. Please try to charge the battery to 100% and listen at low volume without the bass boosted. If the battery lasts close to the published up-to-playtime, the battery is working fine. if not, the battery may be losing capacity.
