Doesn’t go as loud as I was hoping (sound seemed pretty much the same as the flip6. Flip6 just doesnt have subwoofers which I’m ok with.) Also using it to charge makes it drain of power very quickly.

Maybe the one I got is defective, but twice now, I have charged it fully and both times I have only been playing music for about 2 hours tops at a moderate level when the battery indicator light starts flashing red. I'm returning it, I've only had it for 3 days.

Great sound. Not many options on speaker. Just play,pause,and volume. Audio only, can't use for calls. If you just want it to listen to music, its a good choice. Battery last long time.

I had originally purchased a Charge 3 years ago. One of my brothers also had a 3. They are great for syncing together at family events and my other brother was the convinced to buy the Charge 4 and wanted to borrow mine. After trying to sync my 3 with his 4, I read up on upgrading the firmware to make it compatible with the 4 (Jbl Connect to Jbl Connect+). However my other brother with a 3 didn’t want to upgrade because he often synced his with a friend that still had Connect. After forgetting my Charge 3 at home while on a two week trip, I purchased a Charge 5 expecting it to be able to sync with others via Connect+. Im disappointed to discover that now there is another update that is not backwards compatible with syncing old models. This was a main reason why i bought it. They other thing i really liked about the Charge 3 was the ability to use it as a external phone charger when needed. Unfortunately, while the Charge 5 does have a USB port for charging external devices, it doesn’t really work for the latest phones like iphone 13 Plus. Also the missing prev track and next track buttons. Overall, I would recommend anyone with a Charge 3 or 4 to stick with those models, because the charge feature is no better on the 5 and a slightly better sound quality doesn’t make up for the lack of backwards compatibility.

The JBL Charge 6 is now out and simply better in a lot of ways. I wouldn't go so far as to say if you have a Charge 5 you should sell or pitch it in favor of a Charge 6, it's still decent. It still brings enough that unless it's physical state is affected or you have money to burn you don't need an upgrade. However for those debating between a Charge 5 or a Charge 6, yes I know there's a considerable price difference, especially with the Charge 5 being easier to find on sale, but still, to new buyers the Charge 6 offers plenty more than enough to fully validate the price difference. If you have this one, keep it and enjoy it, but if you don't have either, get the Charge 6. It's that simple.

Was not happy at all. The bass was very poor in this speaker. The waterproof and play length was great but the bass output is very disappointing especially for a JBL speaker. I will be returning it and looking for something else.

Good speaker slightly bigger then the 4, I didn’t like there was no aux input although it’s Hardly used it sometimes is necessary for saving battery and some apps. The 4 is my fav model. But this is ok I didn’t like the shape of it either idk just seems like a knock off jbl to be honest but it’s a good speaker gets the job done but! Little to expensive if you ask me 197$ after taxes wait for a sale !

Good sound, definitely not as long of battery life as advertised, I had it charged all night and brought it to a 6-7 hour shift at work and maybe had it at 75-85 percent volume the whole time and it died about 10 minutes before the end of my shift. But it works well you just have to always have a charger with it, don’t expect a long battery life, if it lasted as long as advertised then I’d be happy about the price

This speaker sounds really amazing in both indoors and outdoors . Love they way it sounds in small rooms. Only thing I dont like is that I feel like it doesn’t play for long in between charges. I work in a shop and it does great , however i have to charge frequently , 1-2 days between charges . Might be defective but im used to my old bluetooth speaker and it wiuld go maybe a week before a charge

I've been waiting months and months for the next iteration of the charge series to arrive to replace my charge 3 that I've been using since 2017, and let me just say the sound quality is...mediocre, like it gets loud and the bass is good but the sound gets distorted as the volume goes up just slightly above half volume and I never had that issue with my old charge 3, I'll give it some time before I decide if I want to return it but I was hoping for a more clear sounding than their previous model which is a shame.

Not as hyped, long battery life, ascetic pleasing. Will go with the smaller version.

This was purchased with the thought of the sound being better than that of the Flip5 which is amazing. Unfortunately, this speaker did not live up to my expectations. I expected more from a newer model, I did a comparison by placing both speakers in the bathroom & this model actually sounded worse than the Flip. The size makes it slightly difficult to travel with.

Needs a bigger battery, maybe a storage case to keep it in gets dirty quick. Great sound just needs more asthetics for 100$

Great sound, bought 2 for the party boost but it’s been a big disappointment. The party boost is constantly skipping a few seconds on music. Even after updating firmware.

I bought this for work. This was my 2nd JBL speaker. I initially bought the flip 6 because it claimed a 12 hr battery life but would only last 5 - 6 hrs. I exchanged the flip 6 & upgraded to the charge 5 in an attempt to have music through my workday. Unfortunately the claimed 20 hr battery life on this speaker doesn't appear to be accurate either. Very disappointed that neither speaker was able to deliver the battery life claimed on their website & packaging. My previous speaker cost $30 & could make it 8 hrs on a full charge. Not sure why a $180 speaker can't.

says it has 12 hours play time on a full charge ! at best, its only 60-75 minutes ! sounds good tho

Product not worth the price I will not be going back to this store especially not in person,each time I tried one it’s a chaos with the workers omg!
