Took it the pool and it stopped working after that. From my understanding theses speakers are water proof. Have to return it.

Used it for about 3 days and now it wont charge and does an obnoxious alarm sound when you plug it in? Is there a fix for it? Maybe but im not scouring reddit to try and find some dumb fix for something i shouldnt have to deal with. The "bass" that people say it has in reviews is a joke it hits about as hard as a cheeto hitting the floor. I shoulda known jbl is as overrated as they were 20 years ago in the car audio industry. 0/10 wouldnt reccomend just put the money in and buy an actual product thats worth the money and bigger and louder.

We recommend making sure that your charging port is completely dry before charging it. You may use our JBL Portable App to adjust the sound of your JBL Flip 6 and add more bass. If I could turn back time I would buy never buy that speaker. It's horrendous piece of mockery. I would prefer to buy speaker for temu than buying from this site.

Literally the worst electronic I’ve ever owned. I used this thing legit 4 times before it stopped working. I plugged it in one day and it kept making this weird noise. Didn’t think anything much of it but noticed that 1) whenever I tried to use it after it would make the same noise and 2) battery was dying within minutes until eventually it stopped turning on. Finally stopped procrastinating and googled what the noise was only to be told it was the sound the device makes when there’s water in the port. This thing has never been near ANY water. Like not even a sealed bottle of water much less an open bottle. Also, pretty sure it’s supposed to be like IP67 or something so even then why the heck is it tweaking over water some imagined damage? Like it’s been a year and no matter how many times I try to charge it, how many different cords or AC adapters I use I get the same thing. Meanwhile my CLIP 4 which I only take out of the shower to charge works like a charm. Again, complete and utter trash. Waste of money and would never recommend. This review is long overdue but the year is ending and I’m tryna power through a todo list I’ve been procrastinating on for waaaay too long.

Sounded finewhile it lasted, unfortuntaly that was only for 4 months with very light use. Battery now will not charge and the controls just blink and buzz. This is our 2nd JBL Flip that failed after a few months, now both in trash. Meanwhile our similar UE Boom has lasted several years with heavy use. Will not consider JBL for future purchases.

The sound is good enough. My problem is that about half the time I'm using my JBL Flip6, there is a crackling sound. If I turn it off and turn it back on again, it typically goes away, for a while anyway, until my next session. I have read it is interference from other bluetooth devices, but with how many bluetooth devices there are these days, how can I isolate one of them? Hardly possible, and not even a solution because I probably have the other bluetooth device on because I'm, uh, using it? This device is also in perfect condition and has only ever been used indoors. I would expect this from some cheap knockoff, but not a JBL. I would never buy another JBL device again after this. Really feel like this was a waste of money and I'm just bidding my time until I have to shell out more money to replace it with another brand. A quick google search shows that this is not just an issue with my device but a systemic problem with this product.

Thanks for your feedback. We're here to help with your JBL Flip 6. If the issue is affected as the volume changes, source devices behave a bit differently. Some have very loud outputs, and some can be quite a bit lower, even at maximum volumes. The same goes for individual songs, some are louder than others. It is possible that the output level of your source device or song causes the unit to reach maximum undistorted volume before actually reaching 100% on the volume control. So, if the issue only occurs when the volume is getting near to maximum, this would confirm that the issue is the result of an extremely loud source device or song recording. If the issue occurs as the volume is increased, but before reaching 90%, the louder volume coupled with frequencies that have been boosted can cause this issue. If you are using an equalizer in the app or source device, please try turning it off. If the sound no longer distorts with the equalizer off, the speaker is not damaged and the equalizer settings need to be adjusted to prevent distortion and eventual damage. However, if the issue continues, try to connect a different device to the speaker to determine if the problem is with the device or speaker. Never buy the open-box stuff from Best Buy. 15 days return period is too short for identifying technical issues. I bought this JBL flip6 in open box condition thinking it would be just cosmetic but I found that it has Bluetooth issues. Initially, I doubted on running on low power. then on distance and finally on the other side of the product but before I could figure out that it was the speaker itself it was too late. And now Best Buy is asking for a service fee even to check this fault and fix it. lesson learned that they are selling these open-box which are basically returns for some reason (one could be a faulty product) and they put them back in the market on a discount so be careful about this trap.

This speaker started doing a cracking sound after a year of being in a same spot. It never left my house and sat on the same spot. Of course, its warranty is only for a year and now I’m left with this thing somewhat usable. Disappointing.

Absolutely love my JBL speaker. Great sound easy to take anywhere you go. I would recommend everyone get one like this who loves to listen to great quality music.

The worst online purchase I have ever made. The item was NEVER delivered and Best Buy still has not provided a refund. The delivery company Roadie was absolutely terrible at providing any meaningful update of the status of the delivery and would only refer me back to Best Buy without any explanation of what happened to the item. I contacted Best Buy for a refund and I am still waiting for that refund, however my order status shows delivered and not refunded. Terrible online shopping experience and equally terrible experience online ordering/delivery from Best Buy.

This product sucks. It sounds terrible at all volumes and I have tried it on several different devices. No matter what I use it with it has a constant hiss/pop. This is the first time I have ever spent more than $30 on BT speaker and this is the worst one I have EVER had. I got it for a gift and it was only used it twice before the return date expired. So now Im stuck with this piece of junk it seems and I've tried every troubleshoot. Dont buy this or get it for a gift.

Used approximately 7-8 times over 2 months. Called JBL troubleshooted the speaker and still will not hold a charge and not turn on. I usually have good luck with JBL speakers and they sound amazing. Highly disappointed in this item. JBL will be sending me a replacement. Hopefully it works better than this one.

I would give this a zero star review if possible. I bought a "like new open box item" from bestbuy.com. When I had an issue with the item I returned it to JBL under the factory warranty. This was 6 months after I bought the item. JBL advised that the item as a counterfeit and returned it to me. Bestbuy in turn is REFUSING to offer anything, but tell me its outside of the 15 day return period. They sold a counterfeit item that was not discovered until the manufacturer tried to service it. Horrible customer service. BEWARE bestbuy will sell you a fake item and then do NOTHING to rectify their mistake. Will not be doing business with bestbuy in the future.

speaker was dented up, scratched, didnt charge and when it did charge for 10 seconds the speaker sounded horrible, like it was torn.

I have previously bought jbl charge 4 for myself and it is working perfectly fine. So i thought i should buy another jbl for my wife. So i decided to buy jbl flip 6 for my wife. Since my jbl working so good i decided to not get insurance on flip 6. And that was a mistake. Not even 3 months after the bass of flip 6 is broken and making a horrible sound. When I took it back to best buy, the respond that I got was very disappointing. I don't think I could very go back to a place where I feel so directed. Not to mention the quality of the products they sell. Very disappointed

Advertisement on the box said that the battery life would last up to 10 hours but after charged up completely it would only last about half that. I bought it for work and could not even use it for half my shift.
