This is my review for the JBL-MA710 7.2ch AV Receiver w/Dolby Atmos We paired this with: -2 X Stage2 260F Dual 6.25" Floor Standing Loudspeakers JBL Receiver was packed very well. Setting up the audio system did take some time, we kept getting an error on the amplifier screen saying : “System Protected” we could not figure out for the life of us what that meant, a quick google search determined it was the speaker wires possibly touching or being to short so we have to remove all the wiring and start over to make sure no wires were not touching. We also had some issues with the volume, the volume would not go up or down with the remote control or turning the knob, I thought we got a faulty system but I guess the protection mode kicked in and we had to reset it to get it out of that error as well. I really wish it was easier to set up a bluetooth device on this, there was so many steps you have to take in order to get a device to connect. Possibly just adding a button to connect to a Bluetooth device would be easier. Other than the issues listed above, when we finally fixed those snags everything about the system is wonderful, sound is great!

Not bad, but my issue with my last few sony ones. Is that they both died after less than two years of use. so jury is still out until a little time passes

This Receiver has a lower profile than other lower power receivers that I looked into. This allowed it to fit in my space with adequate ventilation clearance. The remote worked well with my Samsung TV and Roku, I could not get the DirectTV remote to control the Volume but I think that is a DirectTV issue(DTV is very old) . This unit has a true zone 2 output which is a definite plus. (It doesn't borrow zone two from 2 of the speaker outputs as was the case in many others.

Performing the initial setup via connection to the TV was unusual, but not difficult. Used the auto-tuning capability, and the sound in my extra-large living room is perfect! Great sound, just wish it was a little louder.

The sound quality is great. It does have a bit of a delay when powering up that causes some issues with the connected devices. Other that that its great so far.

I've been looking for an A/V receiver that checks a bunch of boxes and have had a hard time finding one that offers great amplification, multiple inputs, and high tech network streaming. This receiver almost checks all those boxes and I'm very happy with it. The build quality alone is great. There disks work great and flow effortlessly. The glass front makes it look very high quality and looks great in you're entertainment space. The number of inputs it's amazing, you can run 7.2 or if this unit with Atmos height speakers as well. It has a plethora of inputs, ranging from 6 HDMI inputs, 8k support, analog audio, phono input, and a range of network and Bluetooth inputs. The flexibility of this system offers almost everything you could need from a unit. The setup unfortunately was not a great experience. You need to use an app to set up your device and I had a lot of problems getting the device to connect to my phone and had to turn off the device several time to get it working. My unit had to I stall a huge update right out of the box so I'm assuming that is what was causing all the issues. None the less it was by far an easy setup process. The network audio feature for Chromecast and airplay was one thing I was looking forward to. Not many amplifiers support this feature and even fewer with multiple outputs. Airplay works flawlessly, better than any airplay device I've used. Chromecast on the other hand is unusable on my device. Chromecast appears to think the device is connected, but after many unpairings and resets, I've yet to be able to connect and play music via Chromecast to this receiver. This was my biggest disappointment. The sound quality being pushed by this unit is great. It has plenty of power to push to my system and has never seemed to drop. Overall I think this is a great centerpiece to your home theater set up.
