A vocal group originally formed in1970 as the Citations with Cliff Perkins (lead singer, tenor), Earl Davenport (2nd tenor), Thomas Timmons (bass) and Herman Hammonds (baritone), the group replaced vocalist Timmons with Jeff Burgess and changed their name to Soul Generation.
