Baton Rouge, Louisiana native Jimmy Clanton became known as the Inchswamp pop R&B teenage idol.Inch He recorded a doo-wop song he had written called InchJust a DreamInch which reached number four on the Billboard chart and sold a million copies in 1958. One of the few white singers to emerge from the New Orleans R&B market, Clanton got swept up in the popular teen music wave of the 1950's and 1960's and scored big again in 1962 with InchVenus in Blue Jeans.Inch Both classics are presented here as a digital 45.
