I bought this item for my mother is in a facility for dementha patients. The look on her face when i first gave it to her said it all. She loves it. The fact that it is interactive keeps her entertained. I give her such joy that it will respond to her actions or voice. I even discovered if left without interactive it goes into a battery saving mode but before that it will close its eyes and start to snore. I was alittle unsure about buying it because of the price but seeing the joy it brought my mom it was well worth it

This is absolutely one of the most adorable things I have ever bought my children. I have a 9 year old with adhd who promised he would try to behave better if he got a dog. I got him this instead of the real thing and it's about the closest you can get. I am a 35 year old woman.. obsessed with this toy dog lol. I have taken lots of videos of it with both my 9 and 11 year old sons doing different sounds and motions. I now have my sister and some friends going to purchase one for their children as well. Worth every penny!!

I bought this pup for a dear friend who has Alzheimer's. I don't live near her and didn't know how she would react. Alzheimer's patients can be unpredictable about what calms them or makes them less frustrated. She LOVED it from the very moment she saw it. We don't know if she realizes it's not real but she treats it as if it is. She talks to it and it responds to her voice. It's very sweet to watch. For privacy reasons, I'm not allowed to post photos of her with the dog. But just picture in your mind a loving woman holding the pup and talking puppy talk to it and never letting it out of her sight (except at night, when the nurses take it for safe keeping)

The robotic dog is cute. The dog responds to your voice when facing the speaker, moves head and barks. The dog responds to touch also. You can mute the robotic dog. Toy has a mute button to save of batteries when not in use.

Bought this for someone with dementia and they loved it from the start. It reacts to their voice and touch and has brought laughter back to them. So worth it! And the price at Best Buy was one of the lowest I found, plus they took care of the shipping. I would definitely do it again :-)

The dog is adorable! My husband has Parkinson's and Dementia and he loves it. He talks to it all the time. It's everything I was hoping it would be. Maybe a little pricey though.

My.mother has dementia and low quality of life. Her hospice nurse told me about a cat in a nursing home like this. My mom never liked cats but you had this and her whole world is better. Thank you I recommend this for anyone who has a family member with dementia

This little pup is so lifelike, it’s hard not to pay attention to him. He is a great little companion. I love the way he interacts. He responds to sound motion and touch. Nuzzle his face and he turns towards you. His barks pants and yawns are so realistic. He does have an on, off, and mute switch so he can be silenced if you choose. I leave this one on all the time. When the house is dark and everyone in bed, he’s very quiet. It’s the next best thing to a live animal.

We already own companion cat which was a big hit with my elderly mother. The cat is very interactive and gets engaged easily even when turning on the lights or with any minor movement. The dog, however, does not seem to be quite as easily activated. It’s really necessary to be close by or to pet it for it to be activated. The plastic frame of the dog feels more artificial. If I had to choose between the two, I would pick the cat.

I bought this for my mom. She loves it. The fur has a great feel. Like the sounds and response sensors. Would like their next version to take advantage of its flexible legs to have it move from laying down to sitting up and back down. While family loved it

This was the best real dog. I have a 72-year-old and she's in a convalescent home. and she's loves it ,and all the other residents love it too sometimes they act like they want to fight over it .so everyone is behind these dogs because they really help older people. And I'm just a worker who thought someone needed some companionship.

Desperate for something to calm my Dementia afflicted Mom I tried this - skeptical it would help. “freckles” has allowed me to step away long enough to make dinner - do laundry - etc! Beyond any expectation I had

Great for kids that may not be able to get a real dog too! No vet or boarding bills, urine spots in the grass, flying shedding fur and is still interactive.

Bought this therapy tool for my mother in law who is in her 80’s and has Alzheimer’s. She adores it and never puts it down. The best therapy tool we could’ve gotten her. It’s animated and responds to her touch and talk. Keeps her company.
