I don't mean to come across as a paid reviewer or some writer for an ad firm that Best Buy hired but I assure you I'm not. I've been an audiophile as far back as 1982 when I bought Kenwood and Bose products in Japan when I was in the service. Why would the owner of $16,000 speakers (JBL 4367s) be fawning over the KEF R11 Meta which is under $8,000? Because they're an outstanding value? Check. Because they punch way above their cost? You bet. Because they'll make you laugh? Exactly. From the first chord of the electric guitar, to vocals, cymbals, kick drum, bass guitar, violin, tuba, french horn, the KEF R11 Meta's sing. What will turn a smile into a laugh is the clarity. I've never heard clarity in a speaker at this cost ever. We know it measures far above almost every speaker below $10k (see Audiosciencereview.com), but each of it's drivers (individual speakers), from the 6.5" woofers to the amazing center mounted Uni-Q midrange/tweeter (12th gen), is the culmination of decades of continuous improvement. The bass is rich, fast and tight. The midrange has presence and spatial cues place vocalists and instruments in space. Phantom center? High hats, cymbals and crash cymbals--wicked sharp. There's a lot of speakers in the $5k-$10k price range from Polk, JBL, Martin Logan to Focal, B&W, Acoustic Concepts, MoFi, Revel, Dali and Sonus Faber to name a few. I've had half of them. None of them, at this price range at this time can beat the KEF R11 Meta. No speaker does everything great, but the KEF R11 Meta does it way better than most. Put them on your short list and give them a listen. You'll be hooked.

The R11 is an amazing audiophile speaker for its price. It has received praise from multiple audio reviewers. The quality of sound is as good as many of the reference speakers costing 3x the price. You will need a higher power amplifier to drive these 4 ohm speakers but you will never regret the purchase. The best thing someone can say about a speaker is that they will improve as you improve your other devices and these speakers will definitely show how your system can shine.

Returned B&W 703S3s for these speakers. The KEFs are amazing and hear much more detail in comparison! They look good too!

I picked these up open box. These towers require some power to drive but they sound great. They are very full. A sub is still needed to fill in the low end. Some may disagree as these towers do have impressive bass extension but for my preference I need a sub. I have these paired with an SVS PB-2000.

These KEF R11 Meta speakers are the best I have ever owned. Much thanks to Alex at the Pasadena Magnolia store for the listening demo of several speakers before deciding on these. I now have the entertainment system I have always wanted. An OLED 77" LG smart TV and a 6 speaker surround sound system. I want to give a special shout out to Taurine (Bobby) Gutierrez and his partner Cody from the Geek Squad who went over and above doing the installation of all the components. They take great pride in their work and are technically knowledgeable. They gave me a quick tutorial on usage and cleaned up after all the work was done. I would recommend them to anyone!

Was reading lots of reviews and watching them too on YouTube, but unfortunately was unable to listen them with the amps/preamps/transport. So that was a blind trust, and I would be darned but these speakers worth the money and I love their sound. I won’t say more than you see on YouTube but, all that they saying it is truth for my ears. Always listen speakers with the amp you want to buy, ALWAYS!

I moved up from the KEF Q-950s to the R-11 Metas. They sound tinny compared to the 950s. Keyboards and other higher tone sounds are great, but the bass is lacking. I am running 490 watts per channel, but the amp current may be less than what these need at 4 ohms. If i could do it over, i might have gone with the ML FT-X200s. If you dont need a lot of bass than these sound very nice. If you do, maybe look elsewhere.

Great speaker. Using them (pair as part of a 6 speaker surround sound system. They do very well being 180 watt speakers with 300 watt at 4ohms. If you want heavy basss get a larger amp. I prefer them without heavy bass, I use with a 12 inch sub. Excellent sound, enjoy them immensely. Replaced a pair of Polk audio and very glad i did.

The keg r11 metas help to create a dynamic listening experience. Paired with a quality amp or ave and a capable sub, I could not be happier.

Best speakers in price range. Mids and lows are crisp and never fail.

These speakers sound amazing. You can go from 8 ohms to 4 Ohms with or without Bi-Amp use. Do yourself a favor and go hear them in person.

I got a great deal on an open box pair of KEF speakers. The speaker are in new condition. A few weeks later, I bought a 98 inch Samsung television at Best Buy. Thanks.
