The Kensington SD1700P USB-C Dual 4K Portable Mobile Dock adds display, network and charging expansion to a notebook through one cable and builds a Qi wireless charging pad into its top surface. Two HDMI 2.0 outputs support a dual-monitor setup at 3840 by 2160 resolution at 60Hz, giving analysts, designers and hybrid workers extended screen space without hunting for adapters. Two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports each supply 0.9A for peripherals such as keyboards, headsets and external storage, and a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port passes up to 100W of power delivery through to the host so the laptop charges while docked. An RJ45 jack provides wired 10/100/1000 Mbps gigabit Ethernet for conference rooms and offices where a fixed connection is preferred over wireless. The integrated Qi pad delivers up to 10W and works with MagSafe compatible phones, letting a handset top up on the dock surface instead of occupying a USB port. The ABS housing measures 5.93 by 3.01 by 1.13 inches and carries an attached USB-C host cable, a footprint sized for a laptop bag rather than a fixed desk installation, and the flat upper deck doubles as the charging surface. The dock operates with Windows and macOS computers as well as iPadOS tablets, so a single unit can move between a work notebook and a tablet without extra dongles, and it is TAA compliant for government and public sector procurement. Kensington backs the SD1700P with a 3-year limited warranty, covering a portable dock intended for daily travel between home, office and client sites.
