The K-Supreme Plus Smart coffee maker's sensor can’t identify the pod if you are not using a genuine Keurig K-Cup pod. A: I was having that problem as well as failing to recognize a pod was inserted at all. Unplugging the machine for a few seconds helped. I recently found that opening and closing the top a few extra times seems to have helped. I unplugged the coffee maker as a precaution against damaging the electronics while doing that. I have only used the coffee maker a couple times since, but it works much better now.
