Keychron Q5 HE 8K is a 96% wired magnetic switch keyboard with a full aluminum body, double-gasket design, Keychron Ultra-fast Lime magnetic switches, adjustable 0.2–3.35 mm actuation, Rapid Trigger, south-facing RGB, built-in AI Launcher customization, and an 8K polling rate that is 8 times faster than standard 1K polling.
The high-bandwidth USB-C connection supports an 8000 Hz polling rate, reporting keyboard input up to 8 times faster than a standard 1000 Hz connection. Selectable 8000 Hz, 4000 Hz, and 1000 Hz modes let you balance maximum responsiveness with different system requirements, while the wired link maintains stable data transmission for competitive gaming and demanding workflows.
Keychron Ultra-fast Lime magnetic switches use contactless sensing and let you set the actuation point of each key from 0.1 to 3.35 mm with precise 0.01 mm sensitivity. Choose a shallow trigger for rapid movement commands, a deeper point for deliberate typing, or individual settings by key to reduce accidental input and tailor response to different games, applications, and habits.
Rapid Trigger activates and resets keys according to real-time travel rather than a fixed reset point, enabling faster repeated input. Last Key Priority and Snap Click assist quick directional changes, while Dynamic Keystrokes can assign up to four actions to one key based on press and release depth. Configure these functions through the built-in AI Launcher for different games or workflows.
The CNC-machined 6063 aluminum body gives the keyboard a durable, stable, premium foundation that resists flex during intense use. Separately, the double-gasket structure places flexible gaskets around the plate and silicone pads between the upper and lower cases, reducing metal-on-metal resonance and impact noise for a cushioned, controlled typing experience with improved acoustic isolation.
The sockets support approved Keychron magnetic switches and Gateron Nebula magnetic switches, allowing compatible options to be hot-swapped for a different feel or response. Because magnetic keyboards depend on sensor and switch calibration, use only supported models and select the installed switch type in the built-in AI Launcher to maintain accurate actuation and reliable performance.
