Q: Any comments as to the noise of these ovens? The Whirlpool double oven had a few comments that the fans were very noisy. Since Whirlpool is made by KitchenAid..... THANKS!

A: Well you can hear them. I have never really payed attention. I am usually to busy grumbling about the heat that it blows out to my kitchen. Whoever came up with the idea of venting back into the kitchen must have been an idiot.

Q: My drawer under the cutout is 10" to bottom of the oven. Will it need to be removed to meet the 14 3/4" required to floor? The measurement is, otherwise, 13.5" to the floor.

A: The manufacturer's requirements are very specific. You will likely have to remove the drawer section and have a contractor rebuild the structure to support the oven or you will need to try to shift the oven upwards. If upwards is not an option, remodeling or a different option for wall oven may be necessary. Personally I had to recut the opening on the top end because I could not go lower into the lower drawer section of the cabinet.

Q: Does this model have a proof setting?

A: Hello Grapevine, this Double Oven does have a Proof Setting. Hopefully this information is beneficial to you. Thank you for your inquiry regarding our KitchenAid appliances!

Q: The fan is loud and you can hear it long after the oven is turned off. Is this normal?

A: Noisy, the fan will run until the internal temperature has cooled to a safe temperature.

Q: It seems the noise it not much of an issue then. Any comments about the venting? Does it blow hot air out into the kitchen? Is it only when using convection, or does it also occur when using the oven in the traditional way? THANKS

A: My former oven made my kitchen (my kitchen is large) so hot that I could barely stand it. This new oven is remarkable. The air is cool and my kitchen doesn’t heat up at all.

Q: I have a wall gas double oven that needs to be replaced! How difficult is it to replace with electric? I can't find gas for less than $8,000.00 I need a 24"!

A: You can change from gas to electric. The drawback is that changing will require capping the gas line to the old oven which requires a certified plumber, then you will have to hire an electrician to not only run the correct electrical lines to the location, but also expand your electrical panel as well. It can be done, likely less than the price you have quoted so far, however it is not a cheap process switching from gas to electric.

Q: Is the interior color the new bright blue as seen in wider ovens or is it the standard light blue found in older ovens, the picture has both in the interactive display

A: The interior on the 24" model is dark gray, same as the Whirlpool model. Only the larger sizes (27"+) have the blue interior.

Q: what is a 'proof setting'?

A: Hello cillms, the Proof feature can be used when proofing bread for baking. We hope this helps.
