Had this for about 7 months now and it is still working and looking fantastic. It so nice to have 5 burners on a 30 inch stovetop compared to the 4 on most other 30 inch ones. Would definitely recommend if you want to elevate your kitchen look!

The installers were great. The cooktop is beautiful. It is easy to use, has multiple dual function burners including simmer and melt options. A setting for continuous boil without spilling is fantastic - no more guessing for us coooking novices. The letter/etchings for the gauges is grey on black so it's not the easiest to see but it does function to make the entire top look black. The look is great with our other appliances and the registration was easy with included QR code on the warranty card. We've had it 9 days with no issues. The best feature is it does not shut off automatically if you drip water or sauce on the cooktop. Our prior cooktop would shut off if this happened and if you didn't see, the food stopped cooking. We are really very satisfied with this cooktop and being a KitchenAid, you know it's quality.

Install process wasn’t fun. Had to have the opening cut larger in the granite counter top. Made a huge mess. No issues with the product itself though. Haven’t been using it long so I can’t yet speak to its durability. Works great though. Heats up fast (unlike the Kitchenaid oven we purchased). I like that the larger burners have the option to only turn on a smaller inner area if you need more small burners or maybe you just don’t want to put a small pot on a back burner and have to reach for it.

Excellent cooktop! Simple to install and works great and looks amazing in our entire KitchenAid kitchen! Very happy with our purchase!

The first knob is bent off to the side. The installers tried to bend it back. It won't stay straight. The glass cooktop seemed to give them difficulty installing it. I do not think it is sitting correctly. They did not use the brackets to hold it down onto the granite counter top. I had to reference the installation manual, and politely suggest using the foam stripping, and showed them what may be a better way to install it, according to the manual. The glass cooktop sits on the countertop in a way that if weight was applied to the corner, there is a lot of potential for the glass to snap. The worst thing that happened was when modifying the cabinet, they ran a shop vac, which must have been full, or the filter was clogged, and they blew fine saw dust all over my kitchen, and living room. It requires deep cleaning. I want to be compensated.

I absolutely love this cooktop! It has 5 burners, 2 of which are large. I like that the knobs are on the side. The burners heat up quickly! I’ve used it quite a bit since it was installed and I am very happy with our purchase!!

It was defective. Large burner discolored after first use. Best buy is standing up behind it.

I have had my KitchenAid - 30" Built-In Electric Cooktop -in stainless steel for almost a year now. I mostly really like it. It's much more convenient having two large burners instead of just one. The knobs are substantial and much nicer quality than the knobs on my previous Whirlpool cooktop. But you should expect that for this huge difference in price point! I am perplexed by reviewers complaining how hard it is to keep this cooktop clean. I actually find it very easy to keep clean. I wipe it down with a damp rag on most days, then every few weeks I will use the Affresh Cooktop Cleaner that was recommended for extra clean and shine. There are a few things I don't like. 1.) As other reviewers have mentioned, the knobs are super counterintuitive as far as which direction you need to turn them to get higher or lower temps, as they don't match up with each other. Very strange. 2.) It is difficult to tell if the pot is placed over the right spot, as there are no guiding lines. 3.) I really, really miss the ability to know which of the burners is hot. My old cheap cooktop had a red light by each burner so you know which one was still hot. This one has a single red light and just lets you know something is hot somewhere on the cooktop. Overall, I am happy with this purchase. I am disappointed that there is no quality KitchenAid under-cabinet range hood with a recirculating option to go with this cooktop and that I will be forced to mix brands. We have to use ductless and the only one I can find that seems it won't take my overhead cabinet space has not-so-great reviews. Major bummer.

I have had this cooktop for about 3 weeks (I purchased it on May 7, but after constant postponements by Best Buy it was only delivered and installed on July 6), so I can't speak to durability. However, it's a beautiful cooktop that has dramatically changed the look of my kitchen after 30 years with an electric coil unit that we put in when we built our house. It performs, so far, as advertised. The "speed" burner works well, as do the other 4. You have to pay careful attention to the knobs, since they are somewhat counter-intuitive, but they do the job. I also recommend getting Mr. Clean Clean Freak spray to clean it, since the "cooktop cleaner" I bought was twice the work and half the results. So no problems so far. If it continues to work well, I would up this to 5 stars.

Works great but a little disappointed with the quality of the knobs. They put the highest heat burner next to the control knobs and the chrome colored plastic ring below the knob is attached with an adhesive. The first time using it 3 of those rings came loose from the heat and would slide around until I ordered some high heat double sided adhesive to put under them. I don’t think that should happen at all let alone the first time using it. I really like kitchenaid appliances for the quality and look but this one didn’t do it for me.

Wish the knobs had Temperatures divided more. Instead of high medium and simmer. Works really good so far it’s hot quick.

The unit is very nice however it took two appointments to get it installed. The problem was the sales person failed to tell us how to properly measure and we had to pay an additional $240 to have our countertop cut. I was not happy!

Looks nice. Like having 5 eyes. Slower to heat and to boil water than the 12-year old white Kenmore cooktop it replaced. I miss SEARS.

Beautiful and so user friendly. Able to accommodate any size pan and even heating across the board.

Our microwave arrived with a small defect in the door, which prevented us from using it. Best Buy quickly arranged to exchange the unit. Microwave has a lot of features, quite a few more than our previous unit so will require a little more practice. The cooktop is great - it has 5 burners, convenient controls and heats up nicely.
