This is a nice looking fridge in a hard-to-find size, but these are literally the only good things about this product. Whirlpool used to be a quality US manufacturer, but their current products and customer service are complete trash. After being in my home for only six weeks, the compressor on this $2200 fridge went bad. The fridge is now making loud buzzing sounds every few minutes and I had to throw out over $200 in groceries. I called on Monday to report the fridge wasn’t cooling and the compressor appeared faulty. I took time off work to wait for a warranty tech on Wednesday, only to be told the part is back ordered and may not be available for a full month. Best Buy did nothing to help, since the purchase is more than 15 days ago. I spent most of today dealing with customer service from Kitchenaid. I was put on hold multiple times, once for nearly an hour. The rep I spoke with, Danielle, was incredibly unhelpful and blatantly condescending. She confirmed that, while they currently have the item I bought in stock, they will not replace it as their internal rules state they have FIFTEEN BUSINESS DAYS to attempt to source a part, and only then will they place a replacement order. When I asked the reasonable question of “how many days will it actually take for me to have a fridge that works?” she was unable to provide ANY answer. So, basically, I had no choice but to go to Home Depot and buy ANOTHER fridge so my kids can have milk in the next month. I will never again buy another Whirlpool product. Nor will I be giving Best Buy another cent.

Not sure how to rate fridge yet. Fridge ordered in July in white scheduled delivery was August then October then November then December. Cancelled the white and reordered as stainless which was going to get here sooner (like 2 days after ordering). No fridge, yesterday was also supposed to be delivery - no call, email, nothing. This is ridiculous. I’ll never buy an appliance from Best Buy again.

Have had this for less than 2 years and already have had to pay for service. Frosting over due to poor sealing on both doors. Since I didnt buy the extended service plan I had to pay to bandaid it rather rhan replace the seals on the doors or the doors themselves.

Freezer leaks is icing up in the bottom and leaking after one week.

Would love to rate this product with negative stars if it were possible! We trusted the sales pitch that Kitchenaid is a higher end brand, thus, the quality should be assumed to be excellent. Also the Best Buy reviews rated this fridge as being 90% favored. Well, it is just a bit over two weeks right now & this so-called high end fridge is busted. Making clicking sounds suddenly to which we had to read on the internet (because calling Kitchenaid is useless, they put you on an endless hold-so 'great' customer service too. Hate to think if I were calling about my warranty) that it's caused by a faulty compressor! Some quality this is not. We are going to return this poorly made fridge and look for a different one in a different brand not that any of them nowadays seem to be good overall either. But we need to have a new fridge. In any event, with this really bad experience I would never consider buying another Kitchenaid major appliance nor would I recommend anyone to waste time and good money (because it is higher end so costs more!) to buy any. Another thing we noticed is that for the amount of cubic space it seems alot smaller than the old time traditional type with the freezer above the fridge section. Truly a total miss in all regards I rate this Kitchenaid French door fridge.

I purchased this refrigerator 2 years ago. Very disapointed!!!!!!! The quality of this is the worst!!! I purchased 4 new appliances all Kitchen aid thinking that was a good brand. I guess they went down hill. The drawer already broke long plastic cheap door broke and the seal is already coming unstuck. I am so regretting buying kitchen aid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The crisper drawers do not fully close leaving a 1/4 inch opening around the top. The meat/cheese drawer isn’t straight across but is bowed. After complaining about it, a repair man analyzing it, and a second one delivered, we discovered all of this model have the same poor quality workmanship of the drawers. Now trying to find a different brand to buy.
