Took 3 delivery dates to finally arrive, then the ice maker has never worked. Still waiting on what to do next.

In less than two weeks, the water dispenser stopped dispensing, the ice maker stopped producing ice, and the food in the deli drawer freezes (we only have about 10 items in the refrigerator). We had to increase the temperature to 40° to prevent the deli meats and cheeses from freezing into a block of ice. Even at 40°, ice crystals still form in the deli drawer. Counter depth refrigerators will sacrifice capacity, but if Kitchenaid would have made this refrigerator the standard 72" tall (vs 69"), it have made a significant improvement in capacity. Now, I have to wait for Whirlpool/Kitchenaid service to rectified the problem, and who knows how long that may take.

We had this refrigerator for 9 months now. It stopped making ice 3-4 months in, then completely stopped working about a month later. We have been trying to get it repaired under warranty. We are stuck in an endless cycle of 1) wait 2 weeks for a repair guy, 2) repair guy has instructions to call KA “engineer” who doesn’t answer, 3) choose to order parts, 4) parts on back order. Once they do come in, sometimes it hasn’t worked at all, sometimes for a couple weeks. We are now somewhere near 5 months without a refrigerator. They state their warranty is “fix or repair” and they’re obligated to try and fix. The warranty requires mediation, but they refuse to share contact information for their alternative dispute resolution channels. Will NEVER buy another KitchenAid product again.

75 days after purchase the freezer is -16 degrees because the fan won’t shut off. The tech thinks it’s the control board, which is on back order, but the freezer temp sensors also appear to be malfunctioning, but they won’t replace those until they try the back ordered control board. No timeline for repair. Best Buy won’t help me because it’s after 60 days and under manufactures warranty. Sad I made this purchase.
