A: There's an oval burner beneath the griddle. Not big enough for a 10" tortilla, but big enough to flat top a couple of burgers at one time or to make grilled cheese on. No need to remove grates when using the griddle - just take off the griddle.

The center burner is the long spreader and not the circular smaller burner. Love all the functionality of kitchenaid!
I’ve always been a big fan of kitchenAid, but this stove/oven combo is by far my favorite! I love the dough proofing feature! It cuts down on the whole baking process! Also, the middle grill section is so useful during breakfast time when my family demands multiple kinds of food. I can cook eggs, oatmeal, and make tea in the other burners, use the middle grill for bacon, and warm the bread in the oven. It’s fantastic! My only regret is that I didn’t get it sooner!

Kitchen Aid Range cosmetic issues
The range is working well. It came with some cost damage and we are trying yo get it resolved with Kitchen Aid. It hasn’t been an easy process so far so I am not going to give an extensive review yet.
