About This Item
Franz Vincent Krommer was one of the most successful Bohemian composers and violinists living in Vienna during the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. Written mainly in the style of Haydn and Mozart, Krommer's Quartet No. 3 and two Quintets for oboe and strings, recently re-discovered and restored from original parts, are highly virtuosic works which make considerable technical demands of the performers. Quartet No. 3 here receives it's world première recording. Album Tracks 1. Oboe Quartet No. 3 in F Major, I. Allegro Moderato 2. Oboe Quartet No. 3 in F Major, II. Menuetto Allegretto 3.
