Patti LaBelle (described as the InchGodmother of SoulInch) started her singing career in the early 1960s as lead singer and front woman of the vocal group, The Bluebelles. In the early 1970s, the group changed their name to Labelle and shortly after released the famous disco song InchLady MarmaladeInch. The group were the first African-American vocal group to land the cover of Rolling Stone magazine, and were inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
