Love fantasy. Love movies with a storybook type plot. And this movie really stirs the imagination. Loved it in theaters so grabbed this when I noticed Best Buy carried it. It’s a comfort film and good piece to watch.

An excellent fairy tale movie with plenty of tongue in cheek laughs and a very warm story revealed along the way. Oddball characters make for an entertaining film which could have easily been a Disney fairy tale movie.

An excellent tale of adventure regarding supernatural/fantasy events. Unlike some other films by M Night Shyamalan (Signs, the Village), this tale is not macabre or disturbing. It is a more traditional tale of good versus evil, set in today's world, and with a "triumph of the human spirit" good feeling at the end.

I really enjoyed this film, tells an interesting story and has a feel good ending to it. It's original in its story so that's an added bonus these days.

Interesting film I wouldn't necessarily call it a a horror film But more a suspense Si fi

Great movie, really. If you know anything about the director, you expecting a twist. The story line is very easy to follow and it leave you optimistic about a follow-up movie.

For all us kids at heart, this movie helps bring back those magical beliefs we had when we were young, love this real life fairytale, one of my favorite M. Night Shyamalan movies, very happy with purchase and highly recommend.

This is clearly one of my favorite films that he has produced. The visual aesthetic of the film is grossly underrated, in my opinion, and I truly enjoyed the dreamlike cinematography of the movie.

I enjoyed watching this movie . Bryce Dallas Howard is a great actress. Paul Giamatti plays an apartment manager who finds blue world monsters-dangerous !

The entire movie was captivating from begining to end, and the music by james newton howard is magic. When I first saw it it was not what I expected from the previews before its release it was made to be more like a horror movie to me, but was somthing completely diff all together. Still I think the movie was spectacular Shyamalan, & james howard both excelent. I would recomend this movie to everyone I know and anyone I don't who have not watched the movie. Bryce Dallas Howard is wounderful

My wife and I are huge fans of M. Night Shyamalan. We thought this was a great movie. This is a fantasy movie for grown ups, much like Pan's Labyrinth. It's full of imagination and fun to watch. I highly recommend it! Also, if you like his movies, you should check out Unbreakable, The Village, and The Happening.

It's not a horror film. Most people thought it was. I can only speak for myself and the two others who watched it with me. We thought about throwing each other out the window. I saw him find the girl in the pool, (there was only one very short scene in the pool, so the title is a bit off) and when I woke back up I saw the girl was still waiting to get picked up by an eagle (uh huh) and there was a green dog-like creature chasing her - it had grass hair (uh huh) I would highly recommend any other movie but this, (although it makes a perfectly useful coaster).

Once again M. Night Shyamalan tries to do something unique but it only comes off as a boring children's story with characters you never get attached to, who are in a predicament you don't care about. Paul Giamatti was well cast for his role but it doesn't help a failed project.

It's about a man who saves a woman from drowning then he learns that the woman he saves is from bedtime stories. Huh!!!? yeah tell me about it. not very good at all. wouldn't recommend my dog to watch this.

I would leave this one on the shelf. In fact, do not even bother renting it. This is just another failed attempt by M. Night Shyamalan to be Alfred Hitchcock. Move along...nothing worth seeing here.
