Lauren Lapointe is a Savannah GA-based singer/songwriter who has been gaining recognition across the country for her soulful songs, unique voice, and strong live performances. It features twelve original Americana, roots-rock, pop, and old country songs supported by world-class musicians. Old country music, to be specific. InchI found a 1971 Gibson Hummingbird guitar in a vintage music store that was in near-perfect condition,Inch says Lapointe. InchIt quickly became my songwriting guitar and I was surprised to hear these old country songs emerge from it...similar to something you would hear at the Grand Ole Opry. I have this theory that these songs had been trapped in the guitar and I was simply setting them free.Inch This guitar unleashed songs such as InchSit Home and Cry,Inch InchDusty Tired Angel,Inch and InchRattlesnake Mountain RoadInch the latter two co-written with fellow Savannah songwriter Taylor Martin.
