A pretty, simple, stainless microwave. How often does anyone use all the fancy programming anyway? Bot because have had good luck with other LG products. So far works great. Installation was straightforward, no real surprises. Intructions were fairly clear. Only complaint was no real instructions as to right/wrong way to assemble vent flapper plate...i guessed from the picture and it seems to work ok. The only kinda negative so far is that it sounds like a jet airplane while running. I attribute that (hopefully) to a nice, strong fan and blower, so a good/bad thing?

Nice looking microwave. Compared to the one replaced, I find it a bit noisy & the cooking time a little slower. The wire rack has been removed, and stored, as I found there to not be enough room to use the microwave plate with the rack inserted. I do find it to be user friendly...and I would buy again.

The installation instructions are very good and detailed. The oven is a little bit noisy

Ordered online after going to the store and looking at all the models. Units was shipped to my door. Installation was a breeze and within about an hour we were up and running. Then we hit a snag, no heat. Contacted LG and 4 days later a guy was here and found a wire off the transformer. Hooked it up and all good. Very happy!!

I love the stainless finish. It's a little bit noisier than my old microwave but I think it heats up food faster.

We had to replace the exact same model microwave as it only lasted 2 years! We stayed with the same model for ease in replacing it, and we have the matching LG set of stainless appliances. I hope this new one lasts longer.

I'm sure it's a great product. Didn't get to enjoy it because it came looking like someone took a baseball to it.

I purchased this unit to replace my 20-year-old GE over-the-range microwave which finally failed. The installation was fairly straight forward, but it does involve some drilling. Overall, it is a beautiful looking appliance that has a myriad of features and functions and my wife is very happy with it! (the most important feature!) Pros: Easy installation Multiple features Ease of use Spinning round table Large capacity Pops popcorn like nobody's business Stainless steel exterior and interior Cons: No one-touch time feature (available on most other microwaves) Interior light is weak Stainless steel exterior can be difficult to maintain smudge and fingerprint free

We remodeled our kitchen and start looking for a stove top microwave. We went everywhere. All the major home centers as well as stores like Sears etc. We went to Best Buy and in a matter of minutes we knew we had found what we were looking for. This LG fits perfectly. Is very handsome and the controls and everything is very easy. And the price, it was the best. The delivery was very smooth. Arrived as promised and none head aches. One of the purchase ever made in recent years.

I general microwave works great, no issues in performance over the 9 months. Downsides... most micro-waves have a separate timer you can set, this model does not ;( seems to louder than previous microwaves. Overall good value for the price.

I bought a different microwave a couple weeks back that ultimately didn't fit. (btw, Best Buy was spectacular at accepting the return). The install on this one was a bit more cumbersome than the first one, but I got it installed by myself with minimal help from my wife. We love the look of the microwave, but the first time I went to use the timer...I found there was no timer. This is pretty annoying as I thought this was a STANDARD feature for new microwaves and didn't even consider checking for one first. I'll follow up in a couple months, but so far so good, even with that disappointment.

Great value for the brand. I've always read great reviews for LG. I debated on the Samsung which was just a few dollars more. The microwave looks nice & works perfect but the downfall is its very loud when food is being heated and there is not a timer button but it does what we need which is "warm" our food. We do not cook or bake in it, so it works for our family. The purchasing decision was determined by my future purchase of the LG range/oven to match the microwave.

Love this microwave. Had plenty of features and is priced right. Only drawback is there is no timer. No big deal but thought I'd mention it.

The microwave is roomy and works well. I purchased it because the price was good and it had the soften and melt feature. But who knew that a microwave wouldn't have a timer? Really miss that feature. The door also isn't hanging even so to avoid a scraping sound I need to lift up on the door handle. I would recommend this, making sure the shortcomings are known.

The LG lmv 1831st was purchased as a replacement to my prior LG microwave that died after 5 years. Bought another LG to simplify installation: same size, use of same wall support and screw placement. To date the microwave works fine. It's easy to use, heats food efficiently and simple to clean. Now if it lasts longer than my prior LG, I will consider it a wise purchase.

Very powerful at a low price that looks sleek and fits in to the modern kitchen décor that most people are looking for. Don't see the need to spend more when this microwave can do it all.

I needed a stainless microwave to replace an old cruddy one. This one is perfect. It looks good and the controls are easy to operate. Great price too!

This is not the most expensive over range micro by far but totally meets our needs as replacement for failed GE Spacemaker. We installed it ourself and was not terribly hard to do so. It may not have all the features of some higher end models but for the price we paid it is great.
