I recently purchased the MHEC1737F and, unfortunately, I'm quite disappointed given the hefty price tag. While the automated defrost option works well and is convenient, the overall performance of the microwave leaves much to be desired. One of my main issues is that the microwave seems less powerful than other models I've used in the past. Cooking times are longer than expected, which is frustrating. My biggest complaint, however, is the air fryer feature. I tried cooking several slices of bacon, and it took over 20 minutes to finish. In comparison, a stovetop air fryer would have done the same job in less than 10 minutes, which I find unacceptable for a device marketed with such capabilities. I haven't yet tried the convection baking feature, but based on my experience so far, I am not optimistic. Overall, I regret my purchase and would not recommend this model to others looking for a reliable microwave with effective air frying abilities.

I didnt read all of the power details and am pretty disappointed on the ability to microwave. Its as puny of a microwave was possible. Takes much longer than expected to microwave anything. Its good at air fry and baking, gets it an extra star. However there isnt a manual temp and time entry as far as i can tell for air fry and other special features. You just have to guess something similar to the other food item your cooking. Meh it gets the job done but I expected a lot more.

Feeling really mislead by the positive reviews about the air fryer on this one. Air fryer only has one setting - 450 - and you select the time by guessing which food and qty you want to cook. Convection oven doesn't have a preheat option, so that impacts the cook time/quality. If you're not buying it for the air fry option, then you're just paying a significant premium for a sub-1000W microwave.

I should have done a little more research on this microwave. To me it seems to over complicate each task. Air fry and Bake are very underwhelming if you think this will replace your air fryer it will not. You will end up turning to your old air fryer on the counter. It takes double or triple the time to do air fry or bake. We have also encountered an issue where the door sensor does not sense that its closed. This will prevent the microwave from wokrong properly. I have seen other reviews where tbis is a common issue to watch out for. You end up havibg to slam it shut to have it recognize the door is closed. Hopefully LG will fix this door issue.

I would not buy this oven again. It is difficult to use. Can't read the captions on the front door because it blends in with the black door.. Air fryer only works for already cooked frozen food and not very well. The convection oven doesn't work as well as my toaster oven does. No complaints with microwave.
