Answered by LG Digital Customer CareNeither the LG 250 Sq. Ft. 6,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner - White, Model # LW6024R, nor any other Window Air Conditioner can be installed sideways. Installing a window air conditioner sideways will permanently destroy the unit within hours or days. This happens for two main reasons: the compressor's oil will flood the coolant lines, causing the motor to run dry and seize, and the condensation drain system will fail, causing water to spill inside your home...^Ivan.

It does not have an Energy Saver mode where the fan and the compressor turn off when the set temperature is achieved and then approximately every three minutes, the fan will turn on to allow a sensor to accurately determine if more cooling is needed...^Ivan.
How far does the AC stick out (inside and outside)? More curious how much it sticks out on the inside. I only have about 4 inches of space for the front of the unit to jut out (inside of my home).
