The lift and tilt of the screen was a must for me and I was actually surprised of how many monitors do not have that option. I love the size and clarity. I use this with my PlayStation 5 and it’s been a great upgrade. I just added a speaker with it as well. The port options are great for what I needed. I would absolutely recommend this monitor.

The LG UltraGear G6 is a medium-sized flat monitor that, in my opinion, would be good for everyday use and mid-level gaming. At its price point, it has a lot to offer with features such as AMD Freesync, G-SYNC compatibility, QHD display with HDR, great response time, and fast refresh rate. For those of you who are super-picky about features or are into high-level gaming, there are other more expensive options that you could look at. Quick Summary What You Get: The best panel type for gaming - IPS LED display type High response time Syncing technology 3 total inputs Good overall value What You Don’t Get: A very bright screen 4K or higher video quality The highest refresh rates Speakers Behind panel accent/RGB lighting Contents and Assembly Contents include the 32” gaming monitor, tilting stand arm, stand base, plastic cord management clip, set-up guide, short display port cable, and power cord. The mounting bracket on the back is a typical 100 x 100 VESA bracket. Assembly is fairly quick. To set up the stand, all of the components snap into place. There are two screws at the bottom of the base. You’ll need a screwdriver to assemble this monitor. General Specifications Screen Size: 32” (31.5” actual) Refresh Rate: up to 200Hz 1 millisecond response time Maximum Screen Resolution: 2560 x 1440 (QHD) with HDR10 Brightness – 300 candela Panel Type: IPS Display Type: LED Synchronization Technology: Freesync Premium & G-SYNC compatible Aspect Ratio: 16:9 No Speakers Ports and Connections Headphone Jack HDMI 2.0 Inputs: 2 Display Port: 1 Webcam: None Appearance The monitor looks fairly standard. Black in color with no exceptional aesthetic design features. There’s no lighting behind the monitor or additional RGB lighting. The stand can adjust vertically to different heights and the screen can tilt up and down. It can be angled left and right for a good amount of adjustability. Wire management is built into the arm so that you can run the wires behind the arm via plastic clip minimizing their appearance at your desktop. Display / Picture Quality Picture quality – This monitor displays at a 16:9 aspect ratio which is pretty standard. I set the desktop display to the maximum screen resolution (2560 x 1440), and the still images all look good. Good color, depth, and clarity, but just not 4K. Brightness – The LG UltraGear G6 has a 300 candela rating. There are brighter screens out there than this. This is probably my biggest complaint about the monitor. Games – Gaming is pretty smooth overall with good detail. Other Notes It doesn’t offer / require additional software to use with the monitor. I find this to be a plus. Other monitors from competing companies sometimes require this, which I equate to bloatware. I’m fine with plugging in and adjusting settings on my own. The DP cable is pretty short. The power cord seems really short. Overall, if you want a nice monitor for a typical office setting, a daily usable home screen, or are at the mid-level for gaming, then the LG UltraGear G6 may be a good monitor for you. If you are a heavy gamer or creative designer who needs a brighter screen and true 4K picture, then you may want to spend more money for a higher level monitor. I think that the features provided at the price point make sense and I am giving it 4 stars due to the bang for the buck.

The LG 32" UltraGear G6 IPS QHD is a beautiful, expansive display that does a wonderful job rendering bright colors with exceptional clarity. Its generous size provides ample desktop real estate, making videos pop and graphics stand out without needing a curved panel. When shopping for large, budget-friendly monitors, it’s easy to accidentally grab an FHD (1920x1080) display. While fine for basic gaming, FHD often leaves your desktop feeling overly zoomed in. Thankfully, this LG is QHD (2560x1440), which makes a massive difference when you're trying to fit everything in frame while working. Furthermore, the 200Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time are premium features that once you experience them, going back to a standard monitor for fast-moving videos and animation is downright painful. Despite its size, the desk footprint is surprisingly minimalistic. The stand features a flat, half-inch platform base that is perfect for organization. Too often, monitors use fancy, sloped, or curvy bases that create dead space underneath the panel. This one provides a stable foundation while leaving plenty of usable room to store everyday items like a thermal printer, tape, calculators, and pens. The panel itself is thin and lightweight, so if you prefer using a monitor arm, mounting is a breeze thanks to the standard VESA pattern. Visually, the HDR10 support and sRGB color accuracy make everything look fantastic. On top of that, you get both NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync compatibility. Usually, you are forced to choose one ecosystem or the other, but this LG UltraGear happily supports both. Whether you are a media enthusiast, video editor, gamer, or just looking to boost your productivity, this display packs a ton of premium features into a very reasonable price point. It delivers tremendous value for the money you are asked to pay.

My expectations I’ve had LG TV’s and appliances, but never their gaming monitor, so I was excited to see how the UltraGear line of monitors looked and worked. Initial Thoughts The monitor is nice to look at, it has thin bezels, a nice matte screen, and a single button control; joystick style. It has a beep when you turn it on… I’ve never owned a monitor that did that. What’s in the box? In the box is the monitor, the neck, and the stand. Also included are two tiny Phillip screws, a display port cable, a cable organizing clip, and some inserts. Try it out The monitor was easy to assemble, and plug in… speaking of plugging in, the power plug looks like the type of plug that you use to recharge batteries. On top of that, the length of the cable is not great. For the test, I set it next to my main monitor, and it barely reached my power strip. It could be that I use a dining table as my desk, so it’s a bit higher than normal, but that shouldn’t be an excuse for a cable to be so short. The monitor itself is nice. There are different pre-set settings that you can choose from. You can also change the settings yourself. The 200hz is nice, and allows some quick movements without any lag. The vivid settings is bright but doesn’t look barely any different from the FPS setting. I like that the pre-set settings are actually good. I played a FPS, RTS, action, adventure titles, and it also worked to it’s specific advantages. I did try playing a FPS on RTS, and my on screen opponents had this weird white glow to them, and in certain parts it looked like I was playing a pc game from the 90’s. Thoughts The monitor is well built, and it’s a no frills, just good monitor for gaming. I couldn’t try the headphone jack due to the fact that I haven’t owned wired headphones in a good decade or so. So couldn’t try that aspect. At 1440, you get great visual quality, and you can play games at a smooth 60 FPS. The likes I really do like the pre-set settings. The monitor is bright. The blacks don’t get as black as OLED, but it’s not that far. The dislikes This monitor uses a proprietary power supply. It’s not the proprietary part, it’s the why is the length of the cable so short part that really bothers me. I mean, I think most cables for monitors should be at least 5-6 ft these days. Sometimes you mount it on an arm, and the arm extends out, and you can’t adequately plug it into the power surge strip. What’s one thing I would change? I would remove the headphone jack, and maybe add a USB-C that allows charging for a peripheral. Verdict It’s a great 32 inch monitor for a great price. If you’re not looking to game at 4K, and are content at 1440p 200hz, then this is a great option.

VESA mount was really easy to put on. Monitors are very light and easy to mount to simrig for triple setup. Bezels are thin so made this very easy process overall.
