It has a pointer that keeps showing up with no instructions as to how to stop it for good -really annoying. The remote is just as annoying-hold down some buttons to long and something different happens.NO mute button -suppose to hold down the volume bar to get mute-but then have to reset to where the volume was.

Hi there, MarshallS. Thank you for sharing your experience with us regarding your LG 43QNED82AUA TV. We understand your inquiry about the pointer appearing on the screen and the functionality of your remote control, particularly concerning the mute feature. Your feedback is important, and we'd like to assist you further.
For the pointer that keeps showing up, this is a feature of the LG Magic Remote. You can temporarily make the pointer disappear by pressing any of the directional arrow buttons (up, down, left, or right) around the scroll wheel on your remote. The pointer will reappear if you scroll the wheel, shake the remote, or press the Home or Settings buttons. While there isn't a way to permanently disable the pointer, you can adjust its sensitivity and size in the TV's settings. To do this, go to:
Settings (gear icon on remote)
All Settings
General
Additional Settings
Pointer Options
From here, you can adjust the "Tracking speed" and "Pointer size" to make it less noticeable or sensitive to movement.
Regarding the mute function, on many LG Magic Remotes, pressing down on the volume rocker (the part you use to decrease volume) will mute the TV. To unmute, you would press it again. Some users prefer to adjust the volume down to zero, but the quick press on the volume rocker usually serves as a mute toggle.

I have a 77” LG OLED in my living room and a 48” LG in my bedroom but I bought this for my small front room and the power plugs into the center of the back and it won’t work with the wall mount I’ve used with 4 different tv’s over the years,it just leans against the wall, never turned it on, disgusted with the whole project.my grandson destroyed the packaging so I can’t return it.don’t want to put more holes in my wall for a new mount so I just don’t go in there.

Hi, John. Thank you for reaching out about your LG TV (43QNED82AUA) model. We understand the importance of having a TV that fits your existing setup, especially when you’ve successfully used the same wall mount with multiple models over the years and expected this one to work the same way.
One helpful step you can try is checking the VESA mounting pattern listed on your TV’s support page. This will confirm whether your current mount aligns with the required spacing and clearance around the center‑mounted power port. Sometimes adjusting the mount’s brackets or using a low‑profile adapter plate can provide the needed clearance without adding new holes to your wall. For more guidance, visit https://www.lg.com/us/support/product/lg-43QNED82AUA.AUS. If you need further assistance or would like us to take a closer look at your mounting setup, please feel free to send us an email at lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com. We're here to help. ^Juvy
