The only good thing about this TV is the picture. The user interface seems to be designed to upsell the viewer on anything it can. There is no simple push-of-a-button way to simply select an HDMI input. It can be set to display what's on the nost recently selected input but if you change to something else in the eman time, you're in for selecting from a bunch of menus to get choose another input. It's also necessary to agree to the full scope data collection of the ste, which includes your what you're watching, when you watched it, your voice inputs, etc. Also specifically stated is that they can share that data (audio included) to whomever they choose. While the picture is nice, the interface is dismal. LG should be embarassed by that and their requirement for complete agreement with their data scarfing scheme before the interface becomes functional. I can't imagine how this UX made it into production. The system information gives a software release number but it seems like it wasn't released at all, it escaped.

Hello there, Frank. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the LG 43UT7000PUA TV. We understand how important a seamless user experience is when it comes to enjoying your entertainment setup. While this model offers a stunning picture with advanced features such as HDR10 and the α5 AI Processor Gen7, we recognize your concerns about the user interface and data requirements.
For easier navigation of inputs, the webOS platform does allow customization of quick access options. You can try setting up "Quick Settings" by pressing and holding the 'Settings' button on your remote, which allows for faster access to HDMI inputs and other frequently used functions. Regarding data collection, while agreeing to the terms is required to fully utilize the smart features, you may explore offline usage options if you prefer.
We value your feedback as it helps us enhance future designs. If you need additional guidance or support, feel free to contact us directly on social media at @LGUSSupport, and our team would be happy to assist you further.

Don't buy an LG TV, despite the good picture, the operating system is designed in such a way that you won't be able to watch your favorite show or movie at the time you have it. Especially when LG prompts you to update the system or application. Instead of a good evening, you will have problems with the settings, which are very inconvenient on the TV due to the lack of a keyboard. Additionally, you cannot refuse the update because the TV simply stops working until you allow the update.

Hi, Alex. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with your LG TV (43UT7000PUA) model. We understand the importance of having a TV that lets you enjoy your shows without interruptions. One helpful step you can try is turning on Auto‑Update for apps and webOS in the settings menu. This allows the TV to install updates in the background when it’s not in use, which can help prevent prompts from appearing when you’re ready to watch something. You can also connect a Bluetooth keyboard to make entering text much easier when navigating apps or settings. The remote control for this TV most of the time is not working. I keep pressing the same button and turning it left and right and up and down many times in front of the TV until it catches up. Very tiresome. Piece of junk if you compare it with Roku or Google or other TV remotes. The TV is very complicated as to set up and go through the different settings. My 12 years old other LG 55" TV was very easy to use and the remote was working beautifully. LG cheapens its products; I will never buy an LG product in the future.

1. Screwing on the legs are weird. Screws were tight but still loose and wobbly! Had to unscrew and screw it several times and it never seem to get stable. 2. The power cable was too tight to plug on the back of the tv! Cant tell if its plugged in correctly or not. This is probably the worst part of setting this up! 3. The tv wont turn on! Tried the button underneath, tried the remote, tried plugging in different outlets - DEAD. Put it back in the box and returning it tomorrow.

ridiculous that they made the setup so difficult and complicated, given how easy and simple the process is. The legs are held on only by a single short screw, and it's the customer's responsibility to make sure it's screwed in "straight" so that it's secure. The power cable is difficult to get inserted, so much so that I had to put so much force on it that I was afraid I was going to break it. The instructions given for assembly were ridiculously complicated (and didn't contain any WRITTEN instructions, just pictures!) as it combined instructions for all the different size versions of the TV (and the different sizes have different setups) into one set of instructions. Even the battery packaging for the controller was needlessly tight with essentially no room to even get scissors in there to try to cut the packaging open. Really horrendous setup, I'm still in shock how bad it was, I would've expected much better from LG. I'm hoping the picture quality itself is good though, will update the review after I actually get to use the TV

This has nothing to do with the quality of the LG tv. This is about Best Buy. Ordered the tv on January 3rd. They said it would be delivered on January 4th. No show. For two weeks they lied to us, telling us FedEx lost it. FedEx had never been given the tv to deliver. I had to wait two weeks for their next "deliver by" date to get a refund. The tv never came. I got ahold of someone through Twitter who finally told me the truth (thank you!) and gave me a refund. I don't know what has happened to Best Buy, they used to be so reliable, but this is the second time I've had a problem like this. Had to drive 2 hours over 2 icy mountain passes to get my tv from a different store. I realize in light of the problems we are experiencing today this is absolutely nothing, but I just wanted to share so others weren't sitting around waiting and being lied to by customer service reps.

Loved this TV at first, but after a month and a half, it disconnects from WiFi constantly. Can't even make it through a movie without it happening multiple times. I have to turn off WiFi and turn it back on every time to fix it temporarily. Only long-term solutions I've seen online are configuring your router to stop band steering between WiFi frequencies or getting a firestick. Haven't tried either yet, but will have to figure something out because this issue makes the TV so annoying and unreliable.

Hi, Traci. Thanks for sharing your feedback with us. We understand your concern about your LG TV (43UT7000PUA) model that keeps disconnecting from Wi-Fi—especially when it interrupts a good movie night. We strive to provide high-quality products that exceed our customer's needs and expectations.
Frequent Wi-Fi drops can be caused by interference or how the router handles 2.4GHz vs 5GHz bands, as you mentioned. Band steering can confuse devices, and LG TVs sometimes connect more reliably when assigned to a single frequency. If you’re comfortable doing so, try temporarily disabling band steering or creating separate SSIDs for 2.4GHz and 5GHz to see which your TV prefers.
Also, make sure your TV’s firmware is up to date by going to Settings > Support > Software Update > Check for updates. Outdated software can sometimes affect network stability. For guidance, visit https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-tv-how-to-update-an-lg-smart-tv--1430510575535.
If you're still having trouble, reach out to us directly on social media at @LGUSSupport and include your model number and what you’ve tried—we’ll walk through more steps and help get this sorted so you can enjoy your TV again without the disconnects. We’re here to help. ^Juvy

Unfortunately, I am unable to rate the television, as the LED screen was shattered the first time I powered it up. As instructed on the best buy website, I immediately returned it to the store on 71st street in Tulsa where it was purchased a few hours earlier. I was told the damage was my fault and was due to the way i removed the tv from the box, which is remarkable for the fact that the employee confronting me was not present when i opened the box, and because he was wrong about what he said I did. Never again Best Buy. Terrible and shame on you. Worst possible experience

Purchased for streaming. Found out after purchase that one of the 3 HDMI ports was for eARC. Leaving only 2 HDMI ports. Cable takes up another. Leaving only one port for ROKU box or my BluRay player. Guess this I why it was so cheap. Beware you need more HDMI ports if you have Games and Other devices. Not the best solution for me!

TV arrived but upon unboxing, the screen would not turn on even though it had sound. LG service said it was likely damaged in shipment even though there was no visible issue with the box. Best Buy call center said they could not do anything and I had to return it to a store. The store said since it was purchased online, they could not accept an exchange (really?!). Very frustrating.
