[Employee of bestbuy] Purchased a C5 55” for my bedroom and was a perfect fit for my space. It is super bright around 1,200 nitts and I find myself changing the picture setting to cinema to slighty lower the brightness when watching at night. That would be the only concern I have with this TV and everything else is pristine. I like what LG did with the remote this year as well, simple button layout, light weight, and you can also use your phone as the remote as well.

Bought two 55" TVs from Best Buy Jacksonville (The Avenues) for pickup, expecting brand-new units. Opened them at home to set up—both were clearly open box/returned items that were dirty, dusty, scratched and missing packaging protection. That’s not what was purchased, and not what was advertised. Tried to resolve it multiple times. Every interaction led nowhere—just getting passed from one agent to another with zero accountability. The only “solution” offered? Haul both TVs back to the store. No acknowledgment of the issue, no effort to make it right. No call back despite being assured it will happen. Not asking for anything unreasonable—just honor the open-box pricing for what was actually sold. Instead, it’s been ignored. Between the lack of transparency and the runaround, this feels like deliberate misleading sales practices counting on the customer giving up. Customer service has been completely unhelpful. This will be my last Best Buy purchase.

Two lines appeared on my tv screen while I was watching a movie. I then smelt something burning and quickly turned off the tv. After a minute, I attempted to turn on the tv and it was completely blank. The panel had burn marks, so I’m assuming this was a burn in problem. Which is crazy because I only had the tv for 8 days. I’m so disappointed about this but luckily I was able to return it. Beautiful while it lasted. Buyers beware!

Hi, Elijah. Thank you for sharing your experience with your LG TV (OLED55C5PUA) model. We understand how important it is to have your unit deliver reliable performance right from the start. The issue you described—lines on the screen, burning smell, and panel damage—is not typical of OLED burn‑in, which usually appears gradually as image retention. What you experienced sounds more like an electrical or panel fault.
For future OLED use, one helpful step is to enable OLED Panel Care features such as Pixel Refresher and Screen Shift under Settings > Picture > OLED Panel Care. These tools are designed to maintain panel health and prevent image retention. You can find more guidance here: https://www.lg.com/us/support/product/lg-OLED55C5PUA.AUS. If you need further assistance, please send us an email at lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com so we can support you directly. ^Juvy

This is one of the best TVs I have ever owned. I'm So very happy I made the decision to purchase. My shows, movies and, most importantly, my gaming is elevated in so many ways! I cannot believe this b and its capability. At current I am post surgery and sitting here listening to and watching the stingray app is relaxing and beautiful! It looks like I'm staring out of my Window! (See attached pic) The sound on its own is theater quality and the webOS is fast, clear and user friendly. I might be ditching my firestick I've had for 10+ years. If you are looking for an OLED this is it!!!

This is my second LG OLED. We have a larger one running the Xbox. This TV is for the living room and is replacing a Samsung QLED that delaminated. I think you need to go to Best Buy and look at each TV. I love this picture but my wife liked the Samsung more. I find the picture crisp and great for general TV watching including sports. The interface and main home screen is easy to use and I found it easy to add and subtract apps like Netflix and Apple TV and Prime. LG TV is actually kind of nice if you are looking for a free TV viewing option. I use a soundbar but the speakers for TV aren't bad. Not great but not bad. I have a single complaint. The remote has an arrow that comes up and you are supposed to use it to point at things. I hate the thing and wish I could turn it off for EVER! But you can't turn it off forever you have to hit the down key and it goes away. But it sucks and they should allow me to make it go bye-bye!

My first Oled purchase replacing a Hisesnse U8H that had backlight problems. This TV is very light in weight and was very simple to set up. I have it connected to a Bose Ultra Smart soundbar, an Apple TV 4k and a PS5 and I use Directv for streaming. All work fine with no problems. The stock speakers in the tv are less than great and you definately need a soundbar. Tried out the built-in WebOS system and it was easy to navigate. It will allow you to stream a huge amount of content including local channels. I see others bashing the provided magic remote and don't know why. I do use the Apple 4k remote 90% of the time, but you still need the magic remote for things like setup and picture modes and ajustments. Spend some time on Youtube for using the remote and you'll have it down in no time. The out of the box picture modes are ok, but definately need some tweaks and calibration adjustments to go from just ok to WOW, Again Youtube can assist with these. Got this from BB on sale for $1299. This tv is WOLED technology not quantum dot, but comapred to the cost of the LG Gallery series or the Samsung quantum dots at $1000 or more, it more than holds its own in color, brightness and clarity with the right settings. Super happy I went with it.

I'm enjoying my time with my TV in my room. And its perfect when in a dark setting, especially with my sound system. The quality is great especially when I'm gaming, and the 120hz does help. Definitely a must buy for a bedroom setting and mine is a 55". Still waiting for a Blu-ray player so I can watch my movies in perfect picture quality. But overall I'm happy with my purchase.

Pros: - Image quality is a huge improvement over the 15 year old LCD TV that it replaced: deep blacks, excellent sharpness and color even in brightly lit rooms - Built-in Airplay and Chromecast - Optical and eARC outputs for external speakers/receivers - Over-the-air TV reception works well Cons: - Sound quality is just fair, although maybe due to where we installed it (in a cabinet) - "Magic" remote isn't so magical. Using a Harmony remote to control it. Harmonys have been discontinued by Logitech, but the Harmony programming site still works. Tell your Harmony that the TV is an LG C4 and all will work. - Lots of bloatware/adware on the TV as delivered, especially on the apps page. These can be disabled via the menu options. - Many newer TVs, this one included, track and report your viewing habits. Pay attention to which features/apps you enable and their privacy terms of service. Do an Internet search for ""new york times tv is spying on you" for privacy tips.

Easy setup, excellent picture quality, exceptional clarity even in bright light. Simplified connectivity to external devices with multiple connection options and easy to follow setup prompts. I am impressed with the OLED imagine from bright colors to dark hues and a great range of viewing angles. Even if you do not connect external speakers, the audio is immersive right from the television speakers. I mounted the television on the wall and was surprised how simple it was. The remote if easy to use and the onscreen apps are simple to navigate. I did my research and compared a bunch of televisions. I am glad I made the choice to purchase this LG model, so much so, I bought the 77 inch model for the game room. I highly recommend this television or any of the sizes it comes in. I know you will not be disappointed,

I bought this LG OLED AI 4K UHD WebOS Quantum Pizza Supreme TV after hearing it could read minds and whisper sweet nothings to me through the HDMI port. It arrived in a box large enough to bury my past mistakes in. Setup was easy. The TV asked me about my childhood trauma, and then installed itself. AI Picture Pro now shows me visions of alternate timelines where I made better choices. The blacks are so deep I fell into one and emerged three days later, spiritually cleansed. I tried to watch the news, but the TV gently suggested “Paddington 2” instead. It was right. It’s always right. It knows what I need. I no longer sleep. I just stand in front of the screen, bathed in pixel perfection, absorbing plotless YouTube videos at 4K resolution until my soul ascends. Would I recommend it? Absolutely not. This is my TV. You can get your own sentient rectangle. This one knows my name and calls me “Captain.”

I was on the fence purchasing an OLED tv based on other people’s experience. I finally decided that this is what I wanted and just bought it. I purchased the 55”. I can say, after nearly two weeks I don’t regret it. I upgraded from a Vizio P Series from 2018. This is my first OLED and the absolute best tv I ever had. The contrast is absolutely out of this world. The brightness is really great too, even for a bright room like mine is in. [Just make sure the tv won’t take direct sun light if you decide to purchase this TV.] One hiccup I had with this TV was with the mount I had from my previous TV. The brackets/extenders didn’t configure with this TV, or at least I couldn’t figure it out. I ended having to purchase extenders and got it to work. That was my fault though and does not justify to affect the rating. Needless to say just purchase this TV if you have the funds and enjoy it. There are videos online that are perfect to adjust the display settings, etc. I would just say make sure it will configure to your current mount if you are upgrading.

Here’s a simple, clean review with no sources mentioned: The LG 55” C5 Series OLED evo (2025) delivers excellent picture quality with deep blacks, rich colors, and sharp contrast that really stand out for movies, shows, and gaming. The OLED evo panel is bright for an OLED and handles motion smoothly, making fast scenes look clear and fluid. Gaming performance is strong thanks to HDMI 2.1 support, low input lag, and variable refresh rate, which pairs well with modern consoles. The webOS smart platform is easy to use and offers quick access to all major streaming apps, along with helpful AI picture and upscaling features. Sound quality is fine for everyday viewing, but a soundbar will noticeably improve the experience. Overall, this TV offers a premium viewing experience and is a solid choice if picture quality is your top priority.

awesome picture, nice design, installed easily. Makes me want to watch TV again. My first OLED. wow. 5 stars except the remote has no backlight or glow. Can't read it in low light. Still I would buy again with no hesitation. Bought this one because my son in law has the 65" and I loved it. I got the 55" for my wall unit.

TV has a great picture and is a big upgrade to our old TV. It was easy to put together and looks great where we placed it. This is a great TV for the price (I got it $600 off).

Excellent quality tv. Oled is the best. We researched and were originally going to buy a samsung. Then the sales guy advised it’s the same equipment inside the tv, so we went with LG which was more affordable. Great deal. The only downside is the remote control is difficult to use at times.
