Q: how wide and how high is a 65" TV?
A: This product is 57.1 inches wide and 34.7 inches high with stand and 33 inches high without stand.
Q: Is burn in a serious issue with oled tv's ? What's the life expenctancy on the panel?
A: The screen will burn in easily. Most reviews say it's near impossible but I've got some for the past month or two. I came from a plasma with zero problems with burn in. This tv for some reason is more sensitive. I've seen test where they leave static images on this technology for more than 24 hours with no damage. I got nowhere near that kind of abuse to get mine. Maybe the panels vary in quality.
A: I purchased the 2016 model with 3.0 software. I compared both TVs and did see improved contrast and more vivid color with the 2016 model with 3.0 software.. My biggest reason was to get three HDMI inputs combined with 3.0 software. Only the 2016 3.0 software gives you the ability to display two separate signal inputs on the TV screen at the same time. LG calls it "Multi-View". This was important to me because I have a security camera system that allows me to watch for arriving company while watching another TV station. My cable DVR box is connected to HDMI 2 & my security camera system is connected to HDMI 3 and of course my Apple TV is connected to HDMI 1. It is awesome to have any two live feeds on the screen at the same time... especially since no one seems to offer "Picture in Picture" any more. This is a GREAT TV, worth the money. The way it upscales the 1080P to 4K makes it worth the price alone... original 4K shows, videos & movies become the icing on the cake not to mention that the ability to turn of each of the over 8 million pixels individually gives unbelievable contrast!!!
Q: what does OLED stand for and what makes it different from LED
A: OLED stands for ORGANIC LIGHT EMITTING DIODE. The technology behind this claims that each diode puts out its own light individually as opposed to LED which is either backlit or side lit in sections. Being that the technology is so different comparing the two is really not an option. I will say the picture is incredible and this technology has taken viewing to yet another level. I hope this helps
A: football generally looks great, but as you said when the camera is zoomed out, and the players are moving, there are some edge effects around the players (minimal but noticeable). I believe this is due to the NFL broadcasts (over antenna in my case) being in 1080p, and the OLED set being 4k; so hopefully when "over the air" broadcasts are done in 4k, the motion will be fine.. (since I don't see motion problems when I view a 4k blu-ray). So I guess I'm a little disappointed that the LG OLED doesn't do a better job of up-converting, assuming it does up-convert..(not sure). Final point, I can't imagine you being disappointed with the HDR OLED in general compared to any other set or technology, but I wanted to acknowlege what I see as a current limitation of the set..
A: Digital optical only. This state of the art TV deserves state of the art components. So you export the sounds to an home theatre audio component that will have the headphone jack.
Q: Does anyone know what are the dimensions of the box tv comes in ??
A: LG OLED65B6P The box mine came in measured 66" W x 37" H x 8 3/4" D
A: The screen is more of a matte finish. In my opinion, it does a very good job of diffusing light. I have mine across from three windows and the reflections never seem to be a problem. I also think that it performs great in a bright room.
